Even having to discount him being in elite company is OTT. He’s had a couple good games, and he’s still contracted for next year. I don’t understand the fuss over needing to extend him ASAP.

Yeah that's right the best centres play around the ruck with 3 mins to go and then when the ball goes wide and they are out of position for an overlap it's not their fault right?

Latrell at his peak as a centre was having 6-8 runs a game. Never saw him go looking for dirty hits up ever. But when they needed him in the 2019 GF they gave him just a sniff in the dying minutes and the rest is history.

Every player coming off contract now is seeing big dollars. A couple more franchises will force contract values through the roof, it’s the old demand and supply thing. Guys like Star probably can demand a 30% pay rise. Hate to be in charge of a playing roster now

Guarantee you Critta would be around the ball multiple times in a set to win a match. No doubt your halves have to get things right too.

There's a time and place to go hunting and the final two minutes isnt it.. stay in the centres cause the ball is going to get thrown your way

Staggs is decent defensively but his attacking game has disappeared in the last two seasons. Haven't seen him break many tackles this year.

I did that and you’re spot on. I think Critta’s form has really spiked this past month though. He’s definitely a moments over efforts guy.

That's the problem with Nov 1st for all intents and purposes he is in the shop window for us and other clubs this year. Considering his history of injuries if i were him I would be nailing down a new contract or extension asap.

No, not long term. I've been saying Toa is our best centre for 3 years now. I'm honestly shocked it's taken the rest of the forum this long to see it. But prior to '23 he has always been a guy who has had the skill to be a very good centre but not the work ethic. He seems to be a player that will rest on his laurels if given a long term contract rather than continue to earn it. Id rather pay a bit extra per season but only never extend him beyond 2 years at any given time.
