Obviously we had Richo talking about 2-3 external signings that 'were exciting' a few weeks back. For whatever reason, nothing has eventuated, but I doubt Richo puts himself in a position to make a fool of himself in the public forum without something concrete to back that up.

We have all heard the KPP & Taylan May rumours. Tyrone May is off contract & on record saying he wants to return to Australia. The Broncos are having some cap balancing issues with questions around Staggs, Cobbo & Reynolds confirmed, and rumours around a few of their forwards too.

We just let Galvin walk, leaving another Top 30 spot available.

It might be that the signings are not for the remainder of this season. We could spend the next few months trying to lock in the likes of Da Silva, Api, Bula, To'a etc AFTER an announcement of who is getting added next season (KPP, May etc). This gives the club clarity on the available dollars etc. Or maybe that is the delay on announcing signings from external- need to tie up the guys in house first before we commit to $'s elsewhere.

There are only so many NRL Top 30 spots available every year. And our club has a few available & money to spend.

Does anyone know the actual quote from Richo? Did he actually say there will be 3 or more along the lines of he hopes to have, negotiating with or the roster needs or some other non-committal way of insinuating 3 might be coning?

He did not quote a number of players he said we are in the market place and we will make announcements over the next 2-3 weeks about players we have signed or otherwise Graham asked if they are players outside the current roster and he said Yes.

Because we still need to build a forward pack with a hard edge. But on your point alone we would be better off taking Joe Chan off the Storm to improve our backrow.

It’s the or otherwise part that bothers me.
We’ll probably end up with a list like we had at the start of the year with contracts offered to and rejected by Horsburgh and Hetherington…

I think the history of Harry T’s previous generosity at the Wests Tigers might be a little over stated …

He was a jersey sponsor for a few years …. So he was buying an advertising service that promoted his company..

He has stated several times since that ended ( not recently though) that he was prepared to help the club ( presumably through third party deals …) but did he actually do so?

He always said if the club needed him he would be there, in terms of sponsorship and stuff. It's like HBG, we have a resource that we refuse to use. I'd love to know why Harry doesn't seem to be as active as he was,I know it was mainly through his affiliation through Balmain Leagues Club, maybe now they're gone he's lost interest, though he was a massive supporter and contributor. I wonder if he saw things or heard things that just didn't sit right with him.
