Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m as frustrated as any 1 but I’m 100% certain Ricoh ain’t just sitting in his office eating KitKats. There would be a ton of stuff happening behind the scenes. We just need to be patient cause we all know there is some big news coming. Well hopefully haha
Agree with your comment. I’m so frustrated with how just things are, especially what seems like 6 weeks a go Richo said we would have 3 or so external signings in a couple of weeks. But he is my mature, and positive thinking about it -
It seems KPP is imminent by all reports. The knights play tonight so nothing will be announced today, maybe tomorrow? Maybe they are looking at getting him this year and that’s the hold up? Chammas said he was surprised it hasn’t been announced or signed yet, so maybe this is the case? Obviously we have plenty of spots free for this year so that can take time to sort out between 2 clubs, especially if Dom young ends up at the knights this year.
Speaking of the knights I live in Newcastle’s and the Gaga talk is interesting as I heard this morning that’s the Knights are not taking up the club option on Gagai for next year. He could be coming?
T.May again I would assume we would’ve snapped him up by now, maybe his manager reached out to a few more clubs to get a “market value” on him? Hence the touring of Souths and his manager has come back to the tigers to say this is what we want? Or maybe he will go to the bunnies? As we know Terrell will be in Richo’s about signing his brother up.
Interesting that all the FIfita leaving the titans noise has gone in the media.
I’m sure someone on here said Griffen Nene is off contract, I would chase him. Kiwi boy, Benji may have some pull. He would be ideal to come on for pole and may, big motor, big runs and defends well. Give us a bit more size and then you can really lean in that impact of Hunt off the bench.
You would assume that the lack of house means there is a lot going on now in the background. We have to be patient, and yes I need to take my own piece of advice!
But as always I check on here all the time for any little whispers that we have signed someone, I would love some news soon but let’s just hope it’s all going on in a positive way for the team in the background.

I read the Dominic Young signing will be announced after the Knights v Roosters at Rnd 15.

Hes not his usual damging self these days, whether thats a result of the team combined or just a personal slump in form...I dunno but hes been way down on his usual strong game
possibly, they’ve got so many outside backs coming thru they might be thinking it’s time to move the kids in. that’s how we ended up with starford and malapalangi 😎 dane was blocking them

Tyrone May - he'd make a "good" utility. He was a part of a grand final winning team just a few years ago. Toiling away in super league. I could see him being a Kurt Mann type player, which would benefit us.

Taylan May - uniting the trio brothers. This would be great for training and Taylan strengthens a weakness we have. Has that sort of mongrel we kind of lack in the backs. We've seen how the Fainu bros love being at the same club. The May bros would really benefit us, brotherhood is something special.

Suli Pole - Fonuas brother. Come join the pack lad. He's only young, so we can develope him in the lower grades & hope for the best. Good prospect.

Kai Pearce-Paul - it's all been said, he's being mis used at Newcastle. He would be a dynamic option in our backrow and I could see his attacking skills really opening up at the Tigers. Get the deal done.

Krystian Mapapalangi - this will be your next favourite player. 1 to 6, he can cover it all. He should be elevated to top 30 and fill in when needed, however I could see him making a centre position his own. The kid is a very talented player. Otherwise he's an upgrade on our centre depth, with some likely departing.

Harrison "Harry" Hassett - those who watch the lower grades will know the name. Played first grade the other week at the Panthers and scored a try. Looks like a promising prospect and will strengthen our backrow depth. Good bench option & won't break the bank.

Lazarus Vaalepu - Samoan prop in the Melbourne system. Off contract. Big lad and we need some props badly. Very handy player that would fit in within what were building.

Viliami Fifita - 24 year old prop at the Dragons, came through the Manly system with the Fainu bros. Another big lad. Would be a welcome addition to our pack in an area we need desperately to bolster.
i am tigahhh and i approve this message 🤠

In a newspaper article a couple of years ago Harry said he offered to pay for 3 third party deals. But nobody from the club ever got back to him.
It was a while back so Im not disputing this, but my own recollection was the club was happy for Meriton to not be the major sponsor and tried to use Harry for 3rd party instead but the NRL said no.

The rules would allow for that to happen now ( if not previously) … maybe he should make the offer again?

I hope Richo is onto Kamikamica. Ideal bench middle for us to stiffen us up! Fijian connection too. We'd have the $$$ to outbid any club for him if we wanted surely.

And hate how News Corp push the story of one News Corp club helping another News Corp club. Disgrace!

Melbourne Storm powerhouse Tui Kamikamica offered to Brisbane Broncos

The Brisbane Broncos engine room needs more power, and help may be near at hand thanks to the Melbourne Storm’s strained salary-cap.

Peter Badel and Travis Meyn

Tui Kamikamica has been shopped to the Broncos as the Storm battle salary-cap pressures to keep the hulking grand-final prop in Melbourne.

Sport Confidential can reveal the Storm are facing a fight to retain Kamikamica with the Broncos emerging as a possible home for the Fijian Test star.

Kamikamica is off-contract at season’s end, although Melbourne have a 12-month option in their favour which they can activate to keep the monstrous 110kg enforcer at the Storm for 2026.

The Storm, however, are juggling salary-cap constraints and may have to reluctantly release Kamikamica, who was Melbourne’s No. 1 prop in last year’s grand final against Penrith.

That has opened the door for the Broncos, who have been offered the services of the chiselled 21-Test Fijian veteran.

Tui Kamikamica is lean and ripped.

It’s understood Souths coach Wayne Bennett was keen to sign Kamikamica six weeks ago, but the Rabbitohs were unable to pull off the transfer due to their bulging salary cap.

Kamikamica turned 31 last month and his agent Jeff Jurotte, who also manages Broncos ironman Pat Carrigan, said the Fijian skipper is more than capable of playing another two or three years of NRL.

“Tui is in great shape,” Jurotte said.

“He could play more minutes but the Storm have four front-rowers.

“Tui is fit as a fiddle. He has an offload, he’s the reigning captain of Fiji and he’s a great professional.

“Tui is keen to play on for another few years.

“He is still enjoying the game.

“If you look at him without a shirt on, he is in unbelievable shape.

“He doesn’t drink and he has a young family, he just wants to secure his future in the NRL.”

The Storm are crunching the numbers in the hope of retaining Kamikamica, but if he has to move on, the Broncos could be one potential destination.

Brisbane need to bolster their front-row stocks. Veteran prop Martin Taupau parted ways with the Broncos a fortnight ago over a social-media drama, prompting coach Michael Maguire to promote rookie prop Ben Te Kura for Saturday night’s clash against the Titans.

Queensland Origin lock Carrigan started the 2025 premiership in the front row alongside Payne Haas, but has returned to the No. 13 jumper for the Gold Coast derby.

Another Sydney club is also eyeing off Kamikamica, but they can only afford to table a one-year contract.

Kamikamica has proved an outstanding clubman for the Storm since his NRL debut in 2017. He has amassed 123 first-grade games across nine seasons and has been a fixture in Melbourne’s middle-forward rotation since 2021.

The Broncos are doing their due diligence on Kamikamica, who could be a handy ally for Haas and Carrigan with his size, muscle, experience and work ethic coming from the famed Storm system.

How can the Broncos fit him in the salary cap when they have to shed players now. Having a spot is one thing having the cap space is another.

Hopefully Api and Bula call in the Fiji connection and he would be good for two years

Could do a lot worse than signing Kamikamica and we usually do!! Maybe if signed he could also introduce Hunt to his eating and work out regime.
