LIVE GAME Round 14 v Panthers

Live Game Discussion
Could be but I don't understand the upset. Let's be realistic, the Panthers are a fine side (still) yet we were in the match. I can be disappointed with the loss but not the effort, especially from our younger players.
Missing the finals for 14+ years might have something to do with it … a win would have rejuvenated the place. Now we dwell on yet another 1 score loss and play the high flying raiders at our graveyard after a bye

Fox league is a joke of a channel with clear bias towards certain clubs and players. When certain clubs appear struggling they jump all over them, but turn a blind eye to the favoured clubs when in the same position. The scary thing is they don't even try to hide it.
So fed up with the constant Tigers pile on. The guys went out there and did us all proud. Even with a patchwork forward pack we showed we can compete with a pack that has what, like 5 origin players in it. We had a whole new halves combo. We've just found our no 14 in Mason imo. Luai had his best game for us, his second half wasn't as dominant as his first though I think having Latu back in aswell as Mason out there could have contributed in the attack looking a bit more clunky, in three weeks he's been paired with 3 separate halves partners. He did well for us today. We have obviously turned a corner and are nowhere near the team we have been the last 3 years and are on the up. All we ever hear about is the Tigers have lost. How come noone in the media does us a favour and tell the truth and hammer the refereeing. Or the fact the N.R.L sit idly by while other club managment and player agents use us as a development club. Why didn't the N.R.L tell Moses to pull his head in with the lawsuit crap. I'm so frustrated. We have no voice, we have no way or telling them how we as fans feel about this garbage and the ones we rely on to, the media are just in on this scam.

Yeah, I reckon Mason would be a threat in the middle against tired forwards.
Bad timing - we’ve got to keep him and Tallyn on the park to show them a future.
Been waiting on a real 14 for a very long time and feel Mason is about as close as we’ve come..
I don’t see room for both of them in the 17 unfortunately… Hope we can work it out. Lots to like about both boys.

The current King of Leichhardt - Alex Seyfarth - only 6 missed tackles today (33 made). I don't know if the Zurich Centre has erected statues of WT legends in it, but I think this guy needs to be the first thing people see when they walk through the front door at HQ. Just like how the MCG has the Warney statue out front.
I love your sense of humour. Do you have more funny material?

I’m pretty sure that they are still permitted to defend the next set…even when it’s a call that doesn’t go there way …

They had their opportunities today …probably could have put more points on the board …and the usual try on half time was critical … I don’t know what the hell is going on with that

Worst thing is that people here use the refs call to excuse other issues with the team… that’s all we’ll be hearing about it the next 48 hours

Better teams can overcome a bad decision. But we don't have the class.

There were some promising signs today, especially Latu's impressive return from injury. However, if we keep losing, morale will drop and once again we'll be in the fight of our lives to avoid the spoon.

Tbh nearly every week but Melbourne its turning it into wins the new lesson
The Brisbane & Melbourne games are the only two where our boys copped a hiding.
Today could have easily been a win, last week if they had put in during the first half like they did in the second they would have got the 2 points, the South's game was winnable.

It's been a HUGE improvement on the last 3 season. Completion rates are well up, mistakes well down, kicking game best in years, metres gained per game well up.

The boys just need to win the close games by learning from their mistakes, being disciplined and throwing the ball around a bit more.

Of course we still seem to get the rough end of the 🍍 from the match officials as was evident again today, so a better "rub of the green" from the referees will be helpful, at least this season they seem to not let the bad calls effect them like they did in recent seasons.

Wests Tigers could easily be sitting on 18 points now if just three of those close losses went the other way. Injured players are now returning, the Galvin Circus is over, the boys played their hearts out in their last 120 mins of football, have looked dangerous & defended well.

To me? Way more positives than negatives so far in season 2025 and looking forward to what the rest of the season holds in store.

For starters, panthers kicked a penalty goal, which takes conversions off the table, and very few would even consider thinking that not using the only prop on one's bench in a game that is almost always won in the middle is a good idea.
The tries were 3 a piece. It all came down to kicks. Let's no play semantics about whether I called it a pentaly goal.or a conversion.

Good idea or not regarding Kit. You can't say we are a 6 point or more better team if he plays a few minutes.

You can criticise the decision, but I doubt it changes the result.

Yeah ..I’m concerned at the continued effort with no results ..eventually without a win they will pack it unless it’s a team they expect to beat like the Titans

Was sitting next to a panthers couple with a 10yo son with them...we were chatting occasionally seemed like nice bloke then when Luai hit Cleary this guy just totally blew his mind...like a switch flicked..spit flying and temple veins throbbing, 2 dozen F & Cs directed at Luai...poor little kid looking embarrased as hell as was mum...i said to him when he calmed down i bet you loved him the past 4 years..."naah hes always been a %!*%* and hes nothing without Nathe"

Lol emotion + booze = psycho.

Tough game...boys had a real dig we just cant find that polishing finish.
Im surprised at peoples comment on Romey i thought he was fairly average to costly...we were near perfect first half completion.rate 2nd half no field.position and looked buggered im amazed to read kit didnt get a run...
Parra stdm shits me i think its colder than canberra...another brilliant move from the club playing here...why were.penrith in their main strip when.its our home game,?

Doueihi can't be considered a first grade center, need to upgrade that position next year.
Charlie Murray no good, where was kit?

Had Bula as man of the match closely followed by luai.

We should have won that game, weren't far off!!
Charlie looked gassed at stages which is understandable given the difference in speed to what he is used to, but ideal opportunity to bring Kit on and move May to 13
