Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It doesn't say 2 years, just this ...

Brisbane have been locked in talks with Reynolds over a one-year extension but the Tigers have made their interest known and it is understood they have tabled a more lucrative deal as they look to lure him back to Sydney.

The article printed in the paper definitely said they offered him two years

Firstly,Reynolds wld be fortunate to get thru 20 ganmes over 2 years.so Latu has plenty of opportunities
Secondly,he wasnt exactly a gret fit with his current mullion $$ partner
Lastly, its a complete slap in the face to Latu, and he may just dummy spit...?
surely Latu must be on board or there’s something going on here ? Even in the presser benji was asked abt latu and he said he’s amazing but also said “work in progress” what we are missing here the kid is fantastic ? is he himself saying he’s not ready ? he looks like he wants to take charge every time he’s on the field . so puzzling

Quick thought…

TDS one year loan deal to English Super League for 2026.

We subsidise so he goes on really good money, gets the game time, has a life experience, comes back in 2027 when API is ready to play off the bench
Ha, good luck, that’s like selling a bag of poo to Kenny.
Go live in the land of Pom and play in a reggie comp? Or stay in the land of Oz, sign with any other NRL side and play in the pinnacle comp on the planet?

How many 80 minute games has Latu played at NRL level?

What professional sports team would take the risk that next year is the year he plays 80 minutes every week?

Thanks for posting TS … a lot more detail in the printed version of the story.

Interesting comments from Richo about May apologising after their initial meeting & will be training for a month before suiting up for the Magpies.

Yes … the Taylan thing is interesting … the mind wanders as to his behaviour during that meeting …might have been off the rails a bit

In relation to Reynolds … probably there is some truth for both is us… they printed the two years version in the paper … the club said that wasn’t the case so they deleted it from the on line story ?

This doesn’t surprise me … it’s a no brainer to keep TDS … Benji acting from the heart, not the head with this call
Benji showing his inexperience in wanting to retain Api. In no world do you sacrifice a 22 year old with a bright future to get an extra year or two out of a 34 year old. If Benji wants Api around the club that badly in 26, offer him an off field gig.

I think he’ll be playing for the Magpies in less than a month. Seems to keep himself fit so should take him less time to get himself ready.

These are definitely concerning comments about Taylan. He’s always been a bit different, but clearly needs work on his people skills.
