here's one to think about .. Heamasi Makasini turns 18 in 5 weeks time .. which means he's eligible to play in the NRL age wise legally .. 🙂 He is a great powerful running centre .. so what does Benji do .. bring him in on the wing or straight into the centres .. ??

Richo said in the article yesterday they haven’t ruled out debuting him at the end of the year - if may kicks on might not need to rush him.

honestly worst team for me is the dragons, we are the younger side so it’ll take some time but at least they are all effort & we aren’t full of plodders that don’t care like that side.

I’ve been scouring NRL club rosters, off contract players, NSW Cup & QLD Cup to see who are the realistic options as a backup halfback for us could be.

This is based on no Reynolds, no Bud with Luai & Latu 1st choice halves & Mason back-up 5/8.

I’ve narrowed it down to 2 - Jonah Glover & Jock Madden, both goal kickers too. Yes Jock lol but he’s managed by Orr who we don’t seem to rate highly with but Jock may not have many options.

We’ve invested a bit in the development of Max Liles & he could land himself a NSW Cup contract but he’s not at the level of the above 2.

Zach Lamount is other half we should have a look at, on train and trail contact with Penrith. Also from the cowboys.

Dragons , knights , titans , and manly are worse than us . Chuck in souths (Galvin sucks) , and honestly I think we are better than the cowboys , dolphins and eels .
The only teams I think we might not have it against are really Melbourne , maybe Canberra and the dogs . I think we are on par with the warriors and roosters .
We just need to start winning . We can beat the raiders , they’re due . And then we have dads army the sea eagles after than and the roosters . We will win a few im sure of it .

It seems to change every week. Newcastle were hot trash for weeks, then it was the Titans, but both of those teams have won games. Our opening is Manly in a couple weeks. Another side who’s struggling. I’ve heard people bemoan the amount of games we’ve lost that we should have won this year. We have nothing on Manly.

They went all in on failed tigers with something to prove . That lasted 1 season . Now it’s the same players we saw for years .

Thats the thing - last year we weren’t even in whiff a chance for most games at the end.

We could easily be in the top 8 if the bounce or whistle or holding the ball over the line or freak defensive effort went our way. Realistically though is between 6th and last is 4pts, we are 1 win from the top 8.

It’s hardly a time to slit our wrists & think the spoon is coming just yet.

Anyone advocating for Reynolds to come to the tigers should have a good look at DCE this year. The cliff is high and while the timing of the fall is unpredictable it's extremely fast when it happens .....

DCE was playing as good as ever until he came out with that press conference about his contract.
