No I don’t think Makasini will be ready until either late next year, if not 2027.
A Taylan May/To’a centres combination looks pretty decent if they are both at their best, but for me there are too many question marks on them both to solely rely on them to get the job done.
Considering we shouldn’t have to pay Taylan May too much for 2026, it should leave some cap space for another good quality outside back.
I think Makasini is a chance to be playing regularly next season …. And I normally hate pushing young players …he is a good talent … ( maybe not the best I have ever seen like Richo said yesterday )…
Anyway ..save the money for some forwards and a pass on Mariner from me
