Barclays EPL Fantasy 2024/2025

For next season, maybe we could co-ordinate some prizes from the club for the roar store?

Or we all put in and the winner gets a tigers jersey or something?

(End of season Recap – Part 1)

#FPL Game-week # 38 for season 2024/2025 is over.

Sadly, with that, our Fantasy Premier League comp is also over for this season.

It’s now time to reflect on what happened in Week 38 and have a deeper look at our season overall.

First, to recap after Week 38

Up front, give yourself a big hand – you’re one of a whopping 11,501,826 players
world-wide
who joined the EPL Fantasy Comps comp – WOW!!

(End of season Recap – Part 2)

WTF Classic League 2024/2025

WOW!!
Final scores after Week 38:
This time round, our top 3 scorers, so tight was the round were Delta Blues with 79 round topping points, from Bon Vivant with 71 points, and coming in 3rd this time round was Laroche with 69 points.
And the team scores down the list were right there in the mix, so close were scores generally.

Huge congrats to these and to everyone really – please check the Barclays Premier League website for full details.

That brings us to our Final Leaderboard after 38 game weeks:

Our Final Leader-board positions look this way (remembering there can be only ONE winner):

1st place - Diogo Your Own Way finished outright leader atop of our comp mountain with 2530 points - massive score and massive congrats - no one could just catch you!
2nd place- Laroche in close-up 2nd spot with 2521 points,
3rd place - Chris Big Wood came in 3rd position with a fab 2498 points.
4th place
Slip Slot Slap with 3492 points
5th placeBon Vivant with 2434 points
6th placeDelta Blues with 2432 points
7th placeFleet Feet with 2305 points
8th placeThat were diabolical with 2285 points
9th placeteammeh with 2152 points
10th placeGuehi with 2097 points
11th place Hipocity with 1962 points
12th placeBeyond Salvation with 1921 points
13th placeyayayayayayaTOURE with 1913 points
14th placeR3D Devils with 1813 points
15th place Soccerwhos with 1786 points
It just shows what a bit of luck, determination and that forum never-give-in mentality can do over 38 long weeks of fierce FPL competition.
And particularly, this comp is relentless.
Week after week with no forgiveness as players are injured, there’re other parallel comps that influence Premier League team managers to rotate players etc, and there’s not enough luck to go round …..
A massive WELL DONE and CONGRATS to everyone.
And thank you for the FUN!

Kindly check the Barclays Premier League website for full details.

(End of season Recap – Part 3)

WTF Head2Head Season 2024/2024

Here, with this season’s H2H comp having 13 entrants, being a weekly format of mate against mate, we normally have 7 winners, remembering that one match is against “average.”

Final Game-week 38:
Our winning teams in this final round of the comp
:
HUGE congrats to Diogo Your Own Way, Delta Blues, Slip Slot Slap, Bon Vivant, Laroche and Beyond Salvation for decisive wins in the respective H2H clashes.
(And Hipocity went down to “Average”.)

And all that brings us to the Final Leader Board for this season.

· WOW!! It’s amazing in how close things finished.

· But, as they say, there can only be one winner!

1st - Bon Vivant finished outright winner/leader on 85 massive points, holding a whopping lead over the rest of us for most of the latter rounds of the comp.

· 2nd - Slip Slot Slap finished strongly to come in clear 2nd position with 79 points

· 3rd - Delta Blues finished with a wet sail to rise up to a clear 3rd position on 73 points

· 4th – Chris Big Wood – strong all comp with 70 points

· 5th – Diogo Your Own Way strong throughout with 67 points

· 6th - Laroche consistent with 60 points

· 7th – Fleet Feet all thereabouts with 55 points

· 8th – teammeh kept it real with 52 points

· 9th – Guehi tougher than most with 49 points

· 10th - “Average” across the entire FPL Comps with 45 points

· 11th – Beyond Salvation finishing with a win and 42 points

· 12th – R3D Devils in it most weeks with 40 points

· 13th – Soccerwhos with hot and cold rounds on 35 points

· 14th – Hipocity bringing the leaderboard home with 31 points

Looking back at weekly results, we had some BIG margin wins, some by literally the single point, some ties and some where the winner was almost impossible to pick.

Well done everyone.

It just shows what a bit of luck, determination and that forum never-give-in mentality can do over 38 long weeks of fierce FPL competition.

A massive WELL DONE and CONGRATS to everyone.

Please check the Barclays Premier League website for full details.

And all this brings us to the END of this year’s comps.

Thanks for everyone making these FPL comps so great, competitive, close and FUN!

Presently, the Transfer Window is just about to ramp up for the upcoming season so that means this will be starting all over again in a little while.

So, get ready to come back and do it all over again.

With just as much FUN by the Game-Week!

Here's the list of player transfers as recorded by the Premier League (updating "live")

Thanks @tiger_one for the wrap up, it was a lot of fun to play even though my results was a bit frustrating at times.
Looking forward to doing it all again next season.

Champion @Criz - mate, what was tour team name, if I might ask (that's a pity for me, I could not always tie team names with forum names to more personalize things!)?

Will his great form continue with his new club, Manchester City?
