Mason was commendable at 6 with latu injured and nonsensical with him fit. Can accept and understand if Benji disagreed before tonight but making this kid a lock is like cutting your balls off to improve your fertility

They still probably should have got Tallyn on somehow though.

Wait until Latu and Luai have full preseason, we have KPP on edge and Makasini replacing Douehi in centres. If Taylan comes good I’d have him on the wing, or if Toa doesn’t resign have taylan in centres.

Latu is freakishly talented. I always felt he was naturally far more talented than Galvin, maybe without the motor and injuries the only negative. If he stays fit, he is in our halves every day of the week. Mason was/is only ever stop gap.

He just stands out as soon as he comes on and players around him look so much better. He could be anything and love watching him play

It’s funny, I was wanting to see him do a Galvin tonight and get the ball every tackle to see what he had. Definitely a lot to like.

Yeah, where he differs from Katoa. I can see why people want to chuck him in the forwards, cos he has size, but he’s too good not to be in the halves. Already, I can’t wait to see him next week. Hopefully for the full 80.

Nice to see Latu warming up to being Luai’s half. He definitely linked well with Luai. Mason is playing a bit shell shocked at the moment. Runs well but no ball movement from him. He might be the kinda guy you bring into dummy half for 20-25 mins a game just to get a bit of speed around the middle.

I've said from day one this guy is better than Galvin in every way. If he stays fit, after 50 NRL games he will be one of the best players in the game.
