I feel when Luai wen't hard and rightly so on the team first statement, he should have negotiated to remove at least the 1st round of clauses. He has more than one lot of clauses irrc. It did come across a bit hypocritical knowing he can jump ship after 12months.

Twal is what he is … they let him test the market a year or two back … he wasn’t seemingly in a lot of demand and he signed a modest deal…seems a good club man who does his best …he needs to move down the pecking order a little bit in his remaining time here if they can strengthen his position within the squad

I actually think there’s a fair bit more to that story.

Whilst I don’t know the full specifics. He went and tested the market, somehow through mixed communications 😂. When he came back, the tigers were confused that he was talking to other clubs as they wanted to extend and keep him 😂😂😂.

If you have ever seen him interviewed. I can see how this could happen.

Surely there is an announcement this week that API has extended. Why else would we let TDS free? That would be a massive win for us and would hopefully lead to Luai removing his clauses

According to the Daily Telegraph, Bulldog half Toby Sexton has been offered to the Tigers as a potential replacement for Lachlan Galvin. The Tigers reportedly have other priorities but could revisit the option. The Titans have also shown interest.

Isaac Moses signed with Adam Doueihi, who had previously negotiated his deals. He also signed Jahream Bula in January.

Everyone is saying that luai has a get out clause if they start losing or if he misses penrith. My hot tip is the clause is there if benji gets sacked. Yes Luai came for money and the chance to lead, but i think you can't underestimate how many players love Benji. The team-first post is related to that I think, given galvin had a subtle crack at the coach, whether true or not, it was unwarranted and disrespectful. KPP another example. They loved him as a player so much, that it blinds them to how bad of a coach he is

I think that's such a poor move, knowing the issues in the background.

Won't be in the plans for 2026 I'm guessing.

Iv said it 100 times he hold the ball when he should pass, he passes when he should hold it but when he reads the play right and passes the ball its way too early. Apart from jumping for bombs and in broken field play, his very average in attack.
