What can you do when a gun is held to your head? Keep him and have him pout, tank and create disharmony? I don't like seeing talent leave either but we need to eliminate the me first type person this club seems to have recruited over its existence.

You can’t make him sign on.
Being young you would expect it would come down to who he’s confiding in and listening to
As much as everyone on here is guessing because they see smoke nobody really knows what is actually happening

If a player wants to leave he'll leave - no amount of minutes played or positions guaranteed or money will keep themlong term if their desire to play elsewhere is strong. That's the way it is in professional sport - players arrive and players leave. Don't get to stressed on it.

Junior Tupou who left us for the fins and hasn't really done anything since.

..What is it with the Wests Tigers. We seem to want to accumulate backs that don't quite make first grade. Why?

Ok Sloan plays with the Dragons, but they want to punt him!
Tupou hasn't performed at the Fins, they want to punt him!

Maybe Sloan would be good to help cover fullback with Bula out, but why?
So we can come 12 instead of 14th?

Spend the money on forwards that start first grade every time. Give us a real pack that can punch holes.

He is not a one off though is he ? Plenty of young talent is leaving…eventually you have got to ask the question is there something else at fault at this club..: not just the “entitled “ players that seem to all have plenty of other suitors waiting for them

No doubt some have left but plenty has remained and we have started to get better quality; albeit we need more.
I was not an advocate of the appointment of either Sheens or Benji but it is clear to me there is more spirit and willingness in this group of players than I have seen in a long time. Richo and Benji are doing some good things but success is not the overnight result we would all like.

I haven’t seen a WT team play for their coach like they do in a veryyyyy long time

Unless we're getting someone in return, I don't understand the rationale for releasing TDS a year early. He's a much better back up than Hope and on minimum coin. At a stretch, either Haywood and Lanyon could deputise for Api in 2027, but 2026 is far too early. This club is beyond redemption.
