Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Unless we're getting someone in return, I don't understand the rationale for releasing TDS a year early. He's a much better back up than Hope and on minimum coin. At a stretch, either Haywood and Lanyon could deputise for Api in 2027, but 2026 is far too early. This club is beyond redemption.
Me either. Richo will be lynched if TDS goes to the Dogs of all clubs without something very good in return. Bailey Hayward or even Josh Curran to play lock as a minimum.

Not having a crack but what about the Fainu trio? Bula? The Lauliliis? Hope? Mason? Pole? Sukkar? They don't want to play for us?
Yes, we have lost Galvout and TDS seems out the door but to extrpolate that to no-one is not correct imo.

Some of these guys are in their mid 20s…

I’m talking about young guys who aren’t regular first graders yet … what about Large for instance ? Left the club because he thought he couldn’t get a go behind Galvin … lol

When does this club ever get something in return. Wait, who am I kidding. We’ll be financially compensated. Woopdy doo.

Richo won’t lose a minute if sleep if he goes there compared to anywhere else
He will when the members turn on him TS. Questions will be asked how arguably the club with the best development system in the comp can recruit 2 of our best half-dozen juniors in a decade when both were under contract and we get nothing in return. I doubt that happens as I don't think Richo is that stupid but just sayin'.

Brent Read said Parra hot favourites
Which means it will be the Bulldogs lol. They seem to love doing the dirty on Parra. TDS will want to play with Galvin, no doubt, and the Dogs seem hellbent on shedding Sexton and Mahoney for whatever reason to accommodate them.

Nice way to treat two of your spine who took you to the top of the ladder this season. Dog of a club.

We’ll see … I’m not as confident about Richo as I was 6 months ago …

The Members might just quietly pull the pin… I could see that membership numbers going backwards again if they can’t finish the season strong

For whatever reason? Well, Mahoney is a big albatross around their neck. And Sexton, you can probably say he’s being rorted, but he’s off contract and has a ceiling. And love him or hate him, Galvin is a future Origin player.

And what is wrong with the club choosing who to keep? Can't have every shiny toy in your cot. Better to remove the unhappy ones and keep those who wish to remain. Upgrade when the opportunity arises as we have done.
Why do you want to keep players who choose to go elsewhere? Happens to every club. How do think we got Galvin and the Fainus to start with?
Recruitment often reflects the leaders' character as they choose personalities similar to their own. Funny how some of the disenfranchised were recruited by past club officials.

Apart from Galvin, They choose to go elsewhere because the club have prioritised others…

Hey … the WT can keep who they please … but they better get the results on the field or guess what … it gets blown up … again …

They are 5-9 this season … end of the day
