WTF – Wests Tigers Faithful Podcast

thanks mate! and all good, happens to the best of us.

anyone you've got your eye on that we could run with in the engine room?
Pick of the crop on a short term deal for mine is Josh Papalii, I would probably back that up with a deal for Wiremu Greig in the rotation and as depth. If we can get Royce's head back into the game with Pole and Sione continuting to develop I think we have good rotation and depth.

Fullas.

Too deadly as always.

I gotta say, the last couple of episodes, Mac has been nailing some of his points. To the point of me nodding along in agreeance.

Appreciate the content muchly.

Yeah I thought Papalii would be great for the squad but apparently he has come out and said he couldn't see himself playing against the Raiders thus his manager is exploring ESL clubs.

He's the guy, Jolls.

If we're after a decent, experienced, role player at prop who is available and professional, he's perfect.

I wonder whether Tuku Hau Tapuha is a shout. still off contract...
Hau Tapuha could be a smart pick-up but he is more of a risk than Papalii. I don't think he’s an instant solution, but in combination with Fonua Pole — who covers agility, mobility, and work rate — Tapuha could become the enforcer-style middle we currently lack. He is certainly big enough at 115 kegs but my concern would be his motor. The other thing I'm not sure of is if he has the personality for the enforcer role.

Certainly wouldn't be out of place in our roster - I would be looking towards adding a proven enforcer for 26/27 in addition though.

definitely agree with you, just unsure if we can find the guy we need with the lack of quality on the market. hopefully something comes up again like May did at the back end of last year.
