Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So we really think the board tell us to have slow wingers, slow centres, slow back rowers, release players and don’t replace them, have terrible depth, make ridiculous bench interchange selections and make ridiculous use of the interchange ?
Regardless of what is said, I’m sure our board would like us to win a few more games and not run last every season.
The board only thinks about their pockets.

If our middles dominated the field more, the likes of KPP & Fifita could pile on those big hits as well.

Our issue tends to stem from constantly being in retreat.
Because we run 5 hit ups off the dummy half .. every set , and we do nothing to move the defence around or put them in doubt. Last night was absolutely atrocious , perhaps the dumbest football I have ever seen from this club ( which is really saying something) .. for a professional footy team to have no variety of ball movement at all something is very wrong.. even St George tonight manage to move 1 or 2 passes from the ruck and pick up an inside runner or run a second man play .. .. Beni absolutely has to lift the ball work standard if we are ever to improve .. seriously every single settle runner is a deadset target to get whacked because they are running from a standing start at a set defence that is moving up at them at speed .. I cannot fathom that Benji kept at it for that whole game.. made no adjustments at all.. none !

Always said Toa has the attributes we need and we should stick with him. However last night worried me big time. He was back to his lazy self and it comes off rumours he has resigned. If he extends his contract then drops back to the lazy stuff he was doing the past 2 years then that will be shockingly disapointing
I said it half jokingly last night but it is a little scary

You lost me at Madge didn’t get a shot.
WE WERE WORSE EVERY YEAR for nearly four years.

I personally felt Madge needed the next season, when he finally had cap to recruit and got API and papalii to the club. Prior to that he was hamstrung by dud Cleary purchases. But my point wasn't so much that Madge shouldn't have been sacked but that I felt at the time there were significant issues against his success. I just don't see that with Benji and his two years here, where he's had liberty to recruit and has an improved roster.

Richo is the captain of our ship on his 1 million dollars per season wage.
Remember 2 months ago he promised he would deliver us 3 or 4 signings within a month and since that time our only signing has been KPP, so he’s fallen 2-3 short of his promise.
He said there would be several signings. He also said external or otherwise.

Since then the club has signed Pearce-Paul, signed Taylan May on a train and trial and extended Mason by 12 months.

I think that quote has reached its conclusion.
