Papali’i 3 years ago would be perfect for us.

He’s now 33 and his club are choosing not to re-sign him despite being a legend of the club.

Would be a risky signing.

Also, interesting decision by Canberra when you compare it to what we’re doing with Api who is only 4 months younger than Papali’i.

I believe Canberra offered a contract but Papallii discussed with the club that he does not want to hold back Mooney and Mariota, nor does he want the club to lose them.
I would prefer we look elsewhere but he wouldn't be the worst option.

Like it is a little too soon, but is Terrell May greater then Gareth Ellis?

I won't compare him to Fulton, because Fulton was just a little engine of power. Also not knocking Ellis.
Just wondering if May is greater? Which is praise for both.

I'm not sure we need another prop unless it's a high calibre impact type. We have plenty of Front Row depth. That #13 spot looks weak though.

If we can shift Twal out of #13, there's another Prop in the rotation. I love what Papali'i has been in his career, but I'm skeptical he's an improvement on Twal at this point of his career.

I think he's a victim of recency.

He had 10 very good games to start the year.

Got hurt.

His last 2 games are a bit slower going. People saw the Manly game & seem to have forgotten how good he was to start the year.

May outgained him for 10 rounds.
Pole outgained everyone else for 10 rounds.

My issue is with his overuse of his footwork and his whingeing rather than playing the ball quicker. Needs to run harder and get up quicker. I know it’s in there.

I’ve said it before, Pole has had a handful of games where he looks representative class. Needs to find confidence and consistency. Should be watching Leniu play.

Pole has only just turned 23 - thats still very young in front row terms. We do need 2 more props in our top 30 for next year but I'd be ok with Kit and Peter Taateo being kept as that depth

With Royce Hunt not exactly hitting the way we hoped, there is room for that 'big' front rower.

This is where Viliame Fifita from the Dragons could fit. Offers that bigger body shape.

Taateo looks promising. I think our KOE depth next season is going to look very good.

Watching nsw cup and as you would expect Taylan May has been quiet and no real ball has gone to his side in attack or defencd but just picked up the Raiders fullback and drove him back 5 meters into the in goal - he will be back soon enough in nrl

I think we need another FRF for depth more than anything. Hopefully someone who does not break the bank and just be there. Guys like Josh Kerr (who some people have flamed) are walk ins to our team. We need guys who can come in and play when we get injuries as some of the guys we are bringing in at the moment are really not up to it.
