We are 5-11 mate … even by this shit clubs standards over the past 10 years its poor

Im not paid a million bucks a year to make the moves … in also not privy to the information he is so it’s a pretty pointless exercise … suffice to say I might have brought some other players to the team to replace the ones that were lost
Which players? Just "some"?

Generally, if you are going to criticise, you have an alternative option. But you're saying because you are not paid, your contribution stops at criticism...Our fans are worse than the media.

You are completely missing the point of what is being said on here.
No one was expecting the likes of Galvin and Tallyn to win us a comp in the next couple of years. More like when they are in their mid twenties. That’s why you find a core of great youngsters and build around them.
Api wasn’t brought here to win a comp…neither was Luai. They are here to help rebuild the shithole and get it competitive again. Play a couple of years of finals footy to teach and guide the young guns so that they could take over and actually win the title. That’s now out the window.
Our only option now is to pivot, sack a dozen of the top 30 and attempt to buy a premiership. We might as well try and win with Api and co. This joint is not a development club anymore. Stop pretending it is.
When he arrived, Richo said he may need to tweak his ambition of more juniors in the ranks, but look at our roster and what we are doing and the reality is that we are a bona fide recruitment club with a couple of juniors chucked in for optics.

I don’t even think it’s the end of the world, juniors will gather again when the stars align.

Where I disagree with you is that we could have a fresh batch of players but we don’t have the coaching and support talent to get them to optimum.

I'm not missing anything.

You sit here and criticise and live in a utopia where there is linear positive development of juniors and if we lose one our club is a shithole.

This idea that it's as simple as having great juniors that you have control over keeping each one and they just sit and learn behind experienced guys and sprinkle a few recruits in and that is the secret sauce that Tucker knows, but our dickhead club hasn't got a clue.

Da Silva was offered exactly that. Bide your time and learn behind Api...well....he pissed off because of it. Things aren't as simple as they are made out.

We had a huge bunch of kids blooded last year and the forum was in meltdown that we were losing.

Our fans are the biggest dickheads in the NRL.
Well, one in particular. Don't you wish he was our coach + CEO + high performance manager, we'd be doing a Penrith.

Where I disagree with you is that we could have a fresh batch of players but we don’t have the coaching and support talent to get them to optimum.
How does that disagree with me?
I was one of the only voices of dissent when he was first gifted this role. I was a pretty lone voice of dissent when Sheens got backstabbed and turfed. I have called many times for experienced assistant coaches to be employed and recoiled in horror as dunder turds like Heighno and Hodgson are booked.
The coaching staff are the reason these kids and other talent are leaving/not re-signing.
Start there.

Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi has spoken up about his relationship with embattled coach Benji Marshall to rubbish suggestions of a falling-out between the pair.

It had been widely reported that the coach and his utility star had been involved in a fiery exchange at training in the lead-up to the round 16 match against Canberra during an opposed session.

Marshall joined the players in defence and tackled Doueihi with considerable force.

So I texted Doueihi to get his first-hand version of the story.

Here’s his reply: “Buzz, it’s been blown out of proportion.

“It may have been a tackle on me that looked a bit aggressive from Benj a few weeks back.

“Not much more to it. There was no words or actions needed after.

“Me and Benji on very good terms; that’s all I want to say. Take care mate.”

And that was it.

The story emerged in another tumultuous week for the club in which boom 20-year-old hooker Tallyn De Silva followed another local junior Lachlan Galvin, out the door.

Two potential superstars for years to come, gone in four weeks.

The Wests Tigers find themselves under the spotlight yet again after six straight losses, which has left the three-time wooden spooners just two points off the bottom of the ladder.

We can’t wait for Monday night to hear from veteran chief executive Shane Richardson in a live interview on NRL 360 on Fox League.

He has much to explain around recruitment and Marshall’s future as head coach.

We can however reveal that both Richardson and Marshall have the full support of the majority shareholders, the Holman Barnes Group, headed up by chairman Dennis Burgess.

I spoke to Burgess, who is also on the Wests Tigers board, on Friday.

“Look everyone is under pressure but we have full faith and confidence in Shane and Benji,” he said.

And as for any suggestion of a split between Western Suburbs and Balmain in the joint venture, Burgess said, “We’re actually much closer and stronger than we’ve ever been.”

As a fellow historic dissident I have to acknowledge your early concerns.

I was referring to your last post at face value.

We will just have to agree to agree.

Ex Rooster mate thinks Morris would be a better coach, stats alone he is almost twice as good.

Poor Dennis can’t remember the entire 1970s let alone who played last week.

Benji fancies himself as a muso as well.

They should give up footy and form a band.

“ The Wooden Spooners”

Send an RSL broke.

Permanent gig as Wests Ashfield, happy hour specials. Just keep both of them away from football.

Nice sidestep. Would that club be in your criteria?
You just want to talk about the past though...if you feel the team and recruitment we have today is worse than any other year and we have not made any progress as a club in the last 12 months, then aren't we just going to go around in circles? I'm not sure I have the mental energy for it.

I believe the path we are on is the right one. That may or may not include Benji in the future, but I believe we are making the right signings compared to the past where we were getting McQueen and Josh Reynolds and Brandon Wakeham. All I say for Benji is he is entitled to see out his vision before judgement. I won't criticise him halfway through because I like the team he is putting together. The nuance between that opinion and others is they rope 23 and 24 into this year, whereas I don't think the squad we had in 23 and 24 had any chance of making the 8 under any coach. Most will agree it takes a couple of years to shape a roster and we had some highly paid deadwood that weren't performing that weren't that easy to get rid of.

I think for once, our "dickhead" club has put in an experienced CEO that inherited a coach that he decided to back. The club backed Benji with a contract for a certain number of years. The CEO and the board reviewed his vision and supported it. It's not like Benji pulled the wool over anyones eyes. To now criticise everything before he's had a chance to finish the job that was agreed upon in a certain timeframe is a little unfair.

I don’t blame Wests for wanting out @BZN.

A standalone Western Suburbs may be the only thing that gets us out of this abomination.

Mum supported the Tigers for many decades, a Balmain girl, the working harbour, wharves, union, community -she’d be very unhappy atm.

We were talking about changes. Here’s one, the board have to start facing elections. If they are going well, they have nothing to fear.

if Benji wants to coach next year, to continue on helping us lose games, he can pay for the privilege like us members.

And he can stop interfering with his hands on at training as it’s obviously screwing the players preparation.

It hasn’t worked and it’s not likely to.

What does this mean?

BTW I think Richo has done a good job considering the circumstances, we are a better club then last year, both on and off the field.

As we all know next year is so important because it will explain if we really are on the up.

We aren’t a better club than last year, it’s all spin and trickery.

With the players we have, we should be doing a lot better.

It’s always next year, I’m over next year. Kpp isn’t enough.

Wests were brave enough to give the fat finger to Lee and Co and we need to draw upon their courage.

We need to stop accepting promises and demand the club step up.

Cheers Chunklette.

Yeah but being an old Magpies fan, you must be okay or use to, being sh*t 😉

For staters, only four premierships and the most spoons of any team.

There is a certain kinda pride Magpies fans have.

We never had money as a club and always lost good players.

Yet were still here. Sure it's wests Tigers, but were the biggest Underdogs of the NRL.

Don't get me wrong. I am Proud of our Balmain heritage and I always liked the tigers.
I am proud too as a Magpie. We batted against teams that were spoiled.

We as WT need to be proud of both clubs. Take your stirring to the north shore mate.
