Team v Warriors

The same 17 ! Luke drops out for Romey .. ad moves .. that’s all . Persist with Kit as the battering ram game changer . He definitely can do it . Until his motor gets better . He needs to build confidence , where every mistake isn’t going to lead to a spot in reserve grade . He was apart of a winning team , only fair to continue that .

1. Sunia Turuva
2. Charlie Staines

I’d like to see AD at lock.
He seems to have his confidence fully back.

I wonder if the club has spoken to AD about a move to 13? I think he has the size and skill and his defence has improved this year. We can more easily use his kicking game and being close to the ruck, he can free up Latu and Jerome to play a little wider.
Could be the missing piece
the thing that puzzles me about his commitment. As the 3rd person there at the tackle (which he normaly is ) he chooses not to commit, bulldog them ,or legally flop. He may have a few bows on his string, yet he lacks that extra 1 % effort for the team. He has no heart for a 13,Size skill ,probably

Do we have a fullback controversy? I would rotate Bula and Tito a bit throughout the game. Tito was impressive in H2.

Agreed. Tito was fantastic at fullback and showed real urgency and energy in defence. Bula is more silky and skillful, but also languid at times.

I'd also love to see what Bula,s skill and power could bring to Centre.

He's not tough enough to play as a forward. No way. He gets bashed up enough playing at Centre.

Not a bad side but I don't get resting first choice players if they are fit?

Hope doesn't deserve to be dropped, just think Bird offers more flexibility from the bench.

Big culture building few days ahead for the club.

All of our Jersey Flegg (Sat), NSW Cup (Sun) & obviously NRL (Sun) teams play in Auckland this weekend and all coming off wins so spirits will be high.

Will be approx 55 players heading over there.
Pending selections, big game in NSW Cup this week for Makasini & Taylan. They are up against the ladder leading Warriors with a solid 3/4 line.

Personally I'd play May & Makasini for 60 mins this week. I'd give both 40 mins at left centre and also 20 mins at right centre (with Faataape on the bench as their replacement). Let's see.

BWG can you tell me what you've seen with Naden since his last stint at centre in the NRL? I like him as a winger.... But his defensive efforts in centre were so poor for us earlier this season .. has he improved?

I’m thinking if he comes in it will be for To’a at right centre with AD moving back to his usual left centre in place of Luke. Whilst we’re a chance of finals, experience is important and Naden’s knee seems to be a lot better in Cup in recent weeks too. Plus he was 18th man yesterday so he is close to a recall.

Bird can also fill in at centre , he’s pretty cooked but I think he can atleast give you a solid defensive game there … Naden has just had way too many chances and sucked it up every time

You know what you’re right! On reflection Naden’s worst games for us have been at centre with his poor defensive reads. I personally think he is a much better winger & fullback. But I still think Benji will select him at centre if To’a is out.
