Matt Betsey is the head of football.Do you think it is a one man job?
Seems like a cost- cutting measure to me. Maybe there are more people involved but not advertised.

Really? All I ever feel is sorrow and pity for the misery they have had to endure. When I visit the Penrith mall, there’s giant pictures of Nate on some of the columns.
I can’t put my finger on it, but it kind of puts me off spending any money.
But as you know, when you come across another Wests Tigers fan and we are wearing colours, there is instant greeting friendliness and cheer. No exceptions.
Not so panther fans, they tend to smug along and ignore each other.
@Tucker told me once that we have the best fans in the game.
That's hilarious, recently attended a wedding in the Hunter Valley and the Mrs can only eat certain things, so when the canapes came around she passed up everything until something came around that she was able to eat and went to take 2 only to be told by the snooty waitress that there was only one per customer. But our focus on finances is how many corporate boxes we can sell. We are doing so poorly, we could over sell them and no one would notice because they won’t be filled.
I went to Brooky once as a corporate guest. The food portions wouldn’t feed a North Korean peasant, there was a tiny drink allowance, the hostess racked off as soon as she could!!
That's only true for as long as HBG say it's true.Remember though, that the new structure allows for complete independence from HBG at WT board level and Richo himself has reiterated, as recently as last night, that he was granted full corporate governance as WT CEO.
Ergo, all the restructuring was to take HBG out of any proper decision making at club level which is now, thank fully, in place.
So whoever Cook's replacement is, he'll have very, very little impact, if any at all, on the running of the football club.
I'd probably go so far as to say zero.
That’s because we’ve been humbled for so long, we feel empathy towards each other and immediately bond. When I visit the Penrith mall, there’s giant pictures of Nate on some of the columns.

We seriously need a Recruitment manager. Think we are the only club without one. We cant be serious in attracting talent both NRL and young talent when we have no one in the role.Richo wears 2 hats
Ceo including finance etc
And
A GM of football that works with coach, recruitment and ops.
Reminder - he was key to reviving the Panthers, sharks and South's from the bottom to sustained success.
Im confident that with time he will do the same here at the Tigers
Thanks mate, would you have much idea about his resume?Matt Betsey is the head of football.
He was a handy cricketer before gettig a gig in a coaching and developemnt role with Cricket Australia. Not sure of any formal qualification he has. Thanks mate, would you have much idea about his resume?
Too many people focus on the delivery and not the action.I too was getting autistic vibes from Richo. Not that it's a bad thing. You could see the wheels in his brain were turning too fast for the cogs to handle. People like this are invaluable in business since their minds operate differently and they can see things that most people haven't even considered.
Could be, but they will profit this year and results will have improved. Club will have more revenue opportunity in coming years.Do you think it is a one man job?

Set up the pathways for cricket nsw and cricket Australia. Applied for the role setting up our pathways and was successful getting that role. Has been promoted to head of football. Thanks mate, would you have much idea about his resume?
It’s one of the things I enjoy. There’s very little filter so you know he’s an honest bloke. He speaks so fast that sometimes he doesn't finish his sentence or forgets people's names. Sometimes I think that he realises he shouldn't have said something and mid-sentence goes off onto another sentence.
In both interviews, he couldn't think of Adam Reynolds' name lol and could only rattle off one of his management staff that he was praising on ABC (Millenkamp) like he couldn't think of any others on the spot.
I can't be critical because I'm the same when on-the-spot sometimes but it's funny. Anyone else notice the same?
As my wife has taught me, anything she likes I am also to grab one and give to her (even if I would also like it!)That's hilarious, recently attended a wedding in the Hunter Valley and the Mrs can only eat certain things, so when the canapes came around she passed up everything until something came around that she was able to eat and went to take 2 only to be told by the snooty waitress that there was only one per customer.
At the risk of using a Rex Mossopism, everyone within ear shot was "flabbergasted."
Best fans in the game? They must use another forumWhen I visit the Penrith mall, there’s giant pictures of Nate on some of the columns.

I seem to recall Richo acknowledging that WT never had any money in the bank, around the time he was doing some forensic accounting and found membership numbers were overstated. His strategy included having a $6m bank account to entice quality players. He would achieve this through cost cutting measures.Only a few more years at the current rate and we will have enough money to be able to get a full time dedicated manager of football and some talent scouts. 🤣
It was merely an observation on his delivery....I found him a bit hard to follow, but thats fine as long as hes getting the job done he can speak in arabicToo many people focus on the delivery and not the action.
What I can see is a well thought out plan being executed patiently at the club.
Peoplr slag him, but never put their neck on the line when you ask them what they'd do differently. It's likely these people have never been in his position before and are the same people that criticise their own company from the comfort of their 100k a year job...or worse...government workers who have no idea how business works. Apologies to all the gov workers out there.
I'd love to know how much HBG puts into Wests Tigers compared to other clubs.Could be, but they will profit this year and results will have improved. Club will have more revenue opportunity in coming years.
Things going well - he knows what he's doing.
I’m sorry. That's hilarious, recently attended a wedding in the Hunter Valley and the Mrs can only eat certain things, so when the canapes came around she passed up everything until something came around that she was able to eat and went to take 2 only to be told by the snooty waitress that there was only one per customer.
