CSS is finished. I'd be stunned if Stadium funding goes through. It's had its time, but the club will be better playing somewhere else. Besides, the club plays better at Commbank Anyway.

Commbank is Parramatta’s ground ….when we play the Eels there as a “home ” game, they come out in force to remind the Tigers who’s ground it is..
The funding issue at CSS is up in the air seemingly…I think it will happen one day if a few years down the track .. let’s see if they walk away completely in the meantime… I think a compromise might get reached and they keep playing a couple of games there

Seems like theyre trying to compromise now with corporate seating going into the Junior Academy

Interesting ..Any more info about this? I’m assuming they will make it bigger to accomodate this rather than making the academy smaller

Richo seems to agree with you, as he says CSS is "not fit for purpose".
But does the NRL agree with that?
Between "CSS is finished" and CommBank being pitched as the salvation---despite it being Parramatta territory...it's just like watching someone abandon their own house just because the neighbor's got shinier tiles.
You've got Lord Mayor Lound negotiating a $25 million reconfiguration for the academy and corporate seating, while Richardson's calling CSS "not fit for purpose".
But does anyone truly believe fans will rally behind a club that shrugs off its heartland.
If Richo's prepared to discard CSS like last year's jumper, what other backward steps are on the table?
Will he delete every trace of Balmain too, just to prove how thoroughly he can erase history?

Bigger / Better stadiums make the Club more money.
More Money helps the club buy (And breed) better players.
Better Players help win more games
'Winning More Games' helps make more fans.
And there is very recent evidence of this, I've never seen so many Penrith Jumpers in my life

You can trot out any dribble you like, If we ditch Cambelltown to make more money and the onflow from that is winning more games, No one will remember we don't play there anymore

Let’s see what actually happens … Richo made the same threat about “discarding “ games at LO too if I remember correctly …which ended in a positive outcome for the club as this might …
On another point - Maybe they should move games to Lidcombe Oval? … that’s the Magpies “history” and the ground that you grew up with after all
The last time Balmain coughed up, it was in pounds, shillings and pence.
And Tommy would have signed the receipt himself... just before kicking off at Lidcombe under a cigarette smoke fog thick enough to hide your half back 😉.

"Big space", no doubt Tom...and from the looks of it, just as good if not better than what's being proposed for Leichhardt Oval.
Scale is one thing, but vision and investment make all the difference.

I’m in favour of them playing the majority of games there if it makes business sense for the club … I want what’s best for the football team regardless of what side some people want to label things as “magpies” or “ Balmain “…. That division means nothing to me ..

Results aside, I really didn't realise what a shit shape this club has been in for the last decade... Pascoe and those before him really pulled the wool over the supporters eyes by presenting a healthy club. We are lucky we have a coach who wants to be here and coach this team; not many would want the job as it would be deemed a poison chalice... we are lucky we have a CEO who takes no prisoners and has been there done that... the next 2-3 years will be crucial... if we can have onfield success supporters will come out of the woodworks and this club will be on a path to strength and success... fingers crossed
