LIVE GAME Round 19 v Warriors

Live Game Discussion
I've stated for ages Richardson is one of the worst CEOs we've ever had, all piss n wind
Crack cocaine is a hell of a drug. He is one of the great administrators, put the noose down we got beaten up by one of the best forward packs in the competition, but keep blaming Benji, it is impossible to win a game when you are constantly on the back foot being bashed up front. Sadly our forward pack bar May, Sione Faniu and Samuela are pretty average. Pole is out of form and should be a bench starter. Api couldn't do anything because we were constantly going backwards.

What the actual is Benji thinking with his hooker rotation after 2/3rds of the season. I mean, the team was firing pretty well early season when TDS was coming on both sides of half-time, so he decided to start bringing him on late in games already lost, before sending him to reserves and then back to be wasted on the bench whilst Api mostly struggled to play a half decent 80, and then released.

Today we again watched a tired Api late in the opening half and starting the second before being rotated after about 5 minutes, when he should have gone off by the 30 minute mark and had half an hour or more rest before returning for mine. Is their a method to this, or is it just madness?

So what's Richardson done to improve our forward pack, bought a pom from the knights who aren't going any better than us

It’s funny how people see things.
Sam and Sione are the only forwards putting in bar May. They aren’t average.
Api and Benji have brought us nothing but spoons yet you are still defending them lol….

What !!! You’re kidding, our 5 up and high kick doesn’t work. Do you ever see kicks to the grass, almost never, so predictable, very little right side attack. Only when we have nothing to lose do we start moving the ball. And even then it’s mainly ad lib.
But it is a nice style of play? Give Benji some credit.

Yes, we never wanted to consider him for the top job. He and Ben Gardiner 2 major losses from our coaching ranks.
But we preferred to go with Sheens ( past it) and Benji ( no credentials) instead.
That’s an effing joke in itself !
Thought that he was good enough to be our interim coach, but nothing more.

The secret to success is undiluted focus. First job was to build a formidable forward pack, then halves, then the rest.
In Luais defence at Penrith he had a rampant pack in front of him, locked by a skilful 13 and a great half beside him. Hard not to succeed.
But I think he has to reinvent himself
given the forwards he’s got and a rookie half. And at present he’s not doing that and he looks more mediocre every week.
Now to me that’s where the coach come into play, and I’m sure that’s not happening either.

I've said it all season. Clueless!!! And others on here want to keep him because he is a nice guy. He is paid to win games. Very simple role.

I haven’t read any of this thread as yet but a couple of points.

When May and Twal are off we really struggle holding the middle. Warriors were making a lot of ground early in the second half and our line speed was even worse than usual. At this stage I think Seyfarth, Sione and Bird were our middles.

Bird’s main benefit was his versatility but unfortunately in his current form he is a liability in any position and cannot be in the 17.
