I was impressed how he chased the contact in defence in the middle. I also think he freed up Luai, and with some reps at training things could get a lot better.

We should pull that trigger next week. Twal and May to start at prop. Douiehi lock. Pole and Sione off the bench to provide impact. Taylan left centre.

season over after today we might be 7 points outside the top 8

I reckon AD will stick around in 2026 on a 1 year extension. Then potentially go to Perth the following year.

I think it works. He has size and is difficult to handle one in one but is wasted at centre as he doesn’t get to use his ball and organisational skills - which are his greatest assets. Latu and Luai are much better wider of the ruck.
Today we saw he can also be a threat when he runs in the middle as the opposition don’t know if he will run or pass. As a centre he is easily defended as it’s just a hit up.
He can also use his long kicking game. I did note that he still defended in the centres. Would you put him in the middle in defence as well?

I think this is half the problem.

He played a few reasonable games at the start of the year as a backup player (like Hunt) but has never really looked worth signing imho

Against popular thoughts, I think Hunt should be there. He would have done well against the wahs. They could easily pick our small guys out, we need the big boppers l, that’s why we got him, not fir his lateral defence…
