Its not quite the same eh ronWhy are so many people so invested in another team's player?
He'll be a success, but who cares?
He's gone.
Do you all lay awake at night wondering how Moses Mbye is going?

It will wear off. Just like it did when Moses left mid season. Why are so many people so invested in another team's player?

What Moses did to us will never "wear off" with me and i would say there are more than a few of our supporters who would feel the same.It will wear off. Just like it did when Moses left mid season.
Yeah that’s the best way. They can win but it doesn’t mean they have to win well and Galvin can have a shit game, though the media will still somehow attribute the win to him 🙄 Hopefully he’ll get hooked at some stage so they can’t.My sentiments exactly - Burton gets dogs home with a FG in Golden point - Galvin stifles their attack and is outplayed by Kyle.
What I mean is, we as supporters won’t be watching Galvin like a hawk every week. It will carry on the rest of this season, and maybe into early next season. He’ll always be hated obviously, but the conversation will slow down. What Moses did to us will never "wear off" with me and i would say there are more than a few of our supporters who would feel the same.
There's the possibility that those who coach and run the club believe he has shown a rare talent on the field and disagree with this forum's assessment of him.Someone please tell me what I’m missing here with this bloke. I went in the Dogs forum and to my surprise most of the fans are actually very supportive of having Galvin in their team! There were also articles on there with Bulldogs players being quoted as saying that whilst they feel sorry for Sexton being dropped, the team needs to rally around Galvin, give him time and space and let him just play footy. Like WTH?
Why have two clubs now bent over backwards to accommodate this kid, doing everything they can to put him in first grade and allowing him to ‘just play footy’ blah, blah. We did it to the detriment of Luai’s game, now the Dogs are doing the exact same thing. I can understand us to an extent because we needed all troops on deck to spark our attack, but the Dogs were leading the comp and playing well. Why are they now cow-towing to this kids every whim?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a young player being given so much hype and latitude by not only one, but by two clubs and the media, especially when they haven’t really produced all that much on the field. Has his family got lots of money or perhaps some dirt on high ups in the NRL? It’s the only reason I can think of why this kid is being treated like he was the King of England or something!
No negating that theory at all, just haven’t seen the same sort hysteria surrounding better young players in previous times. There's the possibility that those who coach and run the club believe he has shown a rare talent on the field and disagree with this forum's assessment of him.
Just a theory.
Its what the media and club is telling them to think.. that it's been driven internally and that everyone's onboard..Someone please tell me what I’m missing here with this bloke. There is a lot of pressure on young Galvin this game,God I’m entirely torn- i want to see the Dogs fail with Galvin but it’s better for us if the Dragons get beaten! What to do???
I agree, I think it's a contributor but the run of losses is related to many other things. There's no correlation between Galvin leaving and our results as far as ability on the field. He played in the Storm game. He cost us the game vs Souths. He isn't the reason we lost 6 straight - not directly. Its the downstream impact of having to start fresh with a new spine. Injuries and suspensions didn't help either
Agreed but we also had to cover for Galvin, that was the problem for us and the problem that Doggies are now having to learn to deal with.I think there are some things he brings to a team that are hard to articulate. It's no coincidence that our season fell apart after we put out that statement regarding him leaving. I don't think these two things are connected via footy though. I think the disharmony he brought to the entire club is more of a factor than his playing ability.
What he did bring football-wise is the ability to execute a three-pass shift from our own half which quite often got us out of trouble. I haven't seen us do that since he left. It was why we lost the Warriors game - we had no territory.
Who would you prefer your halves to be?
6. Luai (prime Luai)
7. Latu
Or
6. Burton (prime Burton)
7. Galvin
