Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Doueihi, Taylan & Mapapalangi would take us to 27.

If Doueihi leaves then Staines would be my only other one of the existing squad.

Good back & halves depth.

Doueihi & May would be between $400-$500K. Mapapalangi would be a budget deal.

Still would have plenty in the bank for the final 3 spots.

Gotta be forwards. Ideally a front row, back row & lock.

Do you think our outside backs are good enough ?
Even assuming Taylan May gets right back to his best, it’s still a very lacklustre looking backline.
We need the injection of at least one quality outside back.

just listening to SEN they were saying Maverick Geyer is off contract at end of year and Sattler and Webster rate him..they were saying a few clubs are interested in him. Maybe him and Haslett would be solid pick ups in second row in area we are sadly lacking

I think we do with Makasini.

Bula will only improve with Latu on the paddock.

Turuva & Skelton are more than fair, personally if To'a is fully for then Skelton is out. Makasin/May is left side combo.

Depth with Mason & Luailli. Hopefully Mapapalangi & Doueihi as well at a stretch.

1. Bula/Mason
2. Turuva/L Luailli
3. To'a/Saukuru/Mapapalangi*
4. Ta May/Doueihi* (Twal to Lock)
5. Makasini/Skelton

** Which players or positions need to be replaced with better quality to make us a genuine top 4 team and which players are either off contract for 2026 or 2027 and a realistic chance of joining us as these replacements?
Need more quality in the forwards and bench to compete consistently week in week out
Need another starting prop and second rower
If can get a quality second rower we can move Samuela to the middle. Maybe a halfback also

Good lock, Another good 40 min prop and 2 decent back up second row forwards. Maybe winger if Skelton doesn't kick on.

as a balmain football club member at the time I remember a meeting called for members to attend with Fitzgerald there and Chalk and the Parramatta Tigers merchandise was on the table
I remember the merch I don’t remember DF being present. I was also a member. Not saying it didn’t happen, just that 25 years plus later I can’t remember!

Where have I “constantly railed about” anything?

My comments on this topic have always been in response to others.
At times it seems you have nothing but disdain for Wests Tigers; have a look at your past posts. Whether they are in response to others is irrelevant imho - your thoughts are yours.
I do appreciate your comments on juniors and can clearly see you have a genuine interest in them, which I applaud.
I'm over people (not just you and apologies if it does seem I'm just targeting you as I am really not intending to) who just bring negativity to the forum when it comes to the NRL team. It's really boring.

So you're saying Harry who hasn't at least publicly done a thing to help the club except talk about what a great supporter he is, is going to be the one to cap Benji?
It was mentioned couple days ago that a sponsor was paying Benjis wages, might be Harry looking to prop him up publically
