It’s very clear there are cliques at the club.

Funnily enough back in the day when Benji was the main guy as a player, when Andrew Fifita left he said something about having “2 dressing rooms” and there were suggestions then it was based on player origins.

I don’t know if this is any different to the other clubs and I’m sure this wouldn’t be coming up if we were winning more games.

Very clear to who and with what evidence?

What origins were prevalent in the Andrew Fafita era of 2010/2011. I'm sorry mate but they are some pretty outlandish accusations

WT backline for 2026 looks good and need luck with injuries.
KPP is only real signing for 2026 who should strengthen our troubled second row position.
AD has potential to be the modern day lock WT have been searching for. His injury history is a concern playing long minutes in the middle.
Do WY need another hard nose prop or will Hunt come good in 2026 with a pre season.
Galvin saga really stuff up the season so hope lessons are learnt going forward.
2026 could be the season WT play finals again.

Wasn’t unfounded so much - Fifita said it.
Beau confirmed it on TV when asked about it.
I’d seen the 2 separate rooms back in the day, so they definitely existed.
I think one of the coaches post Sheens made a point of mentioning they’d been rearranged to get everyone in the same room.

Too inconsistent imo. When he is good, he is very, very good but when he is bad he is....
 
12 months ago 99% of fans on here were pushing him out the door - now the club/ Benji /Richo needs to keep him.
It depends how much Douehi wants, and what he gets offered elsewhere. Can understand why he would look for the best deal he can get at this stage of his career, and can also understand why the club would not go beyond a price point to keep him given what they have had to absorb already re injuries and inconsistent performances.

Potters downfall?
 
It’s funny how things work out. At the start of the season we all saw the centre position as a real glaring weakness. Six months latter it’s probably our strongest position, with May,Star,AD and Big Mac.

As for AD , unless we can find a reliable goal kicker who demands a starting role in the team, you have to re sign him and probably as a 13. Of course if they jag a elite 13 that could change everything but I would be worried if Api was our only kicker
 
AD has had exactly 1.5 games at #13.

It looks promising at best.

That isn't to suggest I don't think he shouldn't be signed. I think Doueihi is a great player & have championed him often.

BUT.

An extra option to play #13 is required AT LEAST in case Doueihi doesn't continue to look promising at #13.

What I think we have seen is, the guy playing at #13 has to play direct, play one off the ruck & be able to pass before the line, while holding up in defence. This allows Luai & Latu to shift a little wider if they choose while still keeping a threat close to the ruck.

I would argue that Terrell May actually plays that role a little bit already, a bit like how Payten used to. His pass selection feels a little forced at times, but he certainly seems to enjoy the pass before the line.

Certainly sink some money into Doueihi. Have May practice a little of that role himself. Add a front rower that adds something to the squad (size, speed, aggression etc...just one of these things is enough). I've suggested him a few times, but Freddie Lussick could play the role out of #14 as well as cover #9- it's what he's been doing for the Warriors KOE. It gives back-up to Doueihi & May as well.

Elliott from the Knights would be an option as well, but probably more if Doueihi moves on. I assume you spend similar contract values on Doueihi & Elliott.

The guy is implying there was a split based on a racial ( origin) basis … ( something he “heard” ) ..is that part true ? This would have been a much bigger scandal at the time if true I suggest..

Was it strictly a furniture issue ?
Perhaps an IKEA sponsorship deal should have been sought.
Or just throw in some bean bags (club colours of course)
But heavens to Betsy, you’ve gotta have em in the same room 🤷‍♂️

Na - they were just small rooms, and both full.. assuming the main guys all fit, and the young fellas didn’t?
There’s was a wall in between that was removed at some point (from a vague memory) don’t take the wall removing as gospel though - long time ago

There was an accusation of favourites and Fifita didn't feel he was one of them. Everyone could see his talent but for some reason he didn't feature in Sheens long-term plans.
Not one of his better decisions.
