It should have been a possible 8-point try. Or 2 competition points should be deducted.

If teams are penalised for cheating, that will change their behaviour. A slap on the wrist fine and suspension of the trainer is nothing compared with the gain of distracting the kicker, and the chance to win. If Panthers lost that one, the top 4 would have been out of reach. The stakes were high, so they cheated.

I don't like trainers on the field, running behind the team. What BS. They should only be on the field to attend injuries, like in the past.

Spot on Snide the NRL should take the 2pts off them, that trainer was running straight towards the kicker and he didn't see him.

Its a very rare occurence a trainer distracting a kicker....that trainers team may not go on to win and 2 comp points is very harsh....maybe make a rule if this occurs again the kicks taken from in front

I like tge idea of punishment being trainer barred from further work in nrl side and the club looses the 2 points if they win.
