Disagree M, at one stage he was our captain and earmarked for long term leadership, until injury struck !5/ up until 4 weeks ago he has shown no consistency or leadership qualities (on field) in his time here
maguire talked him up as the great white hop ,those days AD failed we have hardly seen anything of him for 2 years . But 4 games ,3good when your contract is up before xmas is nothing to hang your hat on. As a utility at the price we are willing to pay is all he is worth to us .Flannaghan may be trying to poach another of ours cheaply buy decoying ADDisagree M, at one stage he was our captain and earmarked for long term leadership, until injury struck !
I think the consistency has come coz he’s been on the ball, which is where he thrives.
For a long time I touted him as a centre, a la Mark Gasnier, but he needs to be on or around the ball to be most effective.
Anyway, it seems like he’s on the way out!
Think we’ll need to be recruiting about 28 players then. 🤣Aspiring to top 4 means recruiting top 4 level players.
I didn’t say I didn’t want him (in this instance) I just don’t want to pay overs for a bloke whos been injured most of his career with a tendency to shirt grab in defence. Not to mention to then sign up with an agent who just screwed the club over. (Doesn’t sit right with me)
I actually have a growing respect for his achievement despite his injuries.
As I’ve previously commented, if dragons want to pay overs then go nuts. I think he’s gone because most of our recent signings don’t have contract detail leaked to the media.
Like trying to save a try in the last minute in the Bulldogs game when it didn’t even matter? Only one who bothered.I wish it was. The reason is he doesn't put in the effort to get to the ball. It is one of the effort areas he puts no effort into.
Massive overreaction to a strong game in conditions you rarely see. Try one he created through poor Dogs defence. Second try he held the ball too long and threw it forward. His run away try was great, but he gets run down if it’s not a swamp. His kicking game is made for days like that, which happen what, twice per year?Disagree M, at one stage he was our captain and earmarked for long term leadership, until injury struck !

The blokes a 350K utility.
If you go back through the discussion you will note that the points of contention aren't about how AD is performing in 2025. Is is about the contract offering to AD, why he should or shouldn't be offered more and his alignment with where Wests Tigers are heading.Where’s the same level of scrutiny on Luai? Fairs fair, AD has proven himself many times this year and we are still waiting for Jarome to do so.
He was on the ball and performed - that is what AD is about. It is his off the ball efforts that are being criticised. If someone put a grubber in front of him he would react the same way - but if the kick is not for him he doesn't put pressure on, his kick chase efforts are average, etc.Like trying to save a try in the last minute in the Bulldogs game when it didn’t even matter? Only one who bothered.
Clearly I don’t agree. If you go back through the discussion you will note that the points of contention aren't about how AD is performing in 2025. Is is about the contract offering to AD, why he should or shouldn't be offered more and his alignment with where Wests Tigers are heading.
Luai has no influence on that discussion as it was not about comparing performances; the discussion is about why or why not AD should be offered ore $. If you followed the conversation you would note that AD's performance(s) were acknowledged, on several occasions.
I believe that the reason he is not being offered more is because of his off the ball efforts; which I have provided examples of. This is a key characteristic of the type of player Benji and Richo appear to be beuilding around.
If you compare AD and Luai on output and results this season AD is probably in front - certainly over the last month. It is a different story though if you look at the off the ball efforts and I think that is where the issue lies for the coaching saff and, as a result, the offer you see from the club.
AD is a good player and will find a home with a club that will languish mid table. If you are seriously building a side to get into a premiership window can you afford to carry a player that doesn't do the 1%ers? You can't because that is what seperates the top 4 from everyone else.
Maybe we could pay the 450K and leave the sprinklers on overnight before every home game.Massive overreaction to a strong game in conditions you rarely see. Yes, but that was not the subject of the conversation. If the conversation had been about Luai's performances the issues would have been front and centre. It was not though - we are in the AD thread discussing the club's offer to him and why he would not be offered more. I don't believe the leaked $350K story - classic IM.Clearly I don’t agree.
Luai has been phoning it in most of the year.
He talks a big game off field then does little on it. The bloke couldn’t organise a root in a brothel so he’s the sticking point…we have one half and supposed leader who is not living up to his promise and enormous price tag and we are baulking at offering a bloke who is displaying more in both areas the opportunity to earn a third of that salary.
It appears once again we will let a non PI walk away. You need a balanced squad. Hive minds do not work.
I agree. Halves get the big money. Just saying elite props, such as Lazzo, Haas, etc, are just as valuable. None of those big money halves can perform behind a powderpuff pack.Gee, you had to go back a long time to come up with that stat. Who gets the big money in league? Hsalves, full backs and centres. The exceptional forward, such as Haas gets a good drink. You cannot compare backs with forwards.
You want to keep making the same errors? But you’re fine we paid a few reserve grade halfbacks more (who have done diddly squat)?
Well that’s a shame. Adam has won games for us, we’d be collecting another spoon without him. If he’s pushed out it will only reinforce the club’s cultural identity as a rewarder of mediocrity, rewarding those who publicly support the concept that Benji is a great coach, regardless of onfield performance.Disagree M, at one stage he was our captain and earmarked for long term leadership, until injury struck !

Geez you love making a goose of yourself!Have you watched the Wests Tigers play their last 4 games by any chance ?
You must have been on the drink with Richo and missed them ?
We just had our best win in the past 10 years, our local junior playing halfback led the way and was a stand out man of the match by everyone who watched the game, now we don’t want him as our halfback and we want him gone to another club.
Talk about madness
What would Cooper Cronk know ?Geez you love making a goose of yourself!
4 supposedly decent games adds an extra $150K per year for a player who has been an unsigned free agent for 9 months and has the lowly Dragons as his only other suitor...
What sort of muppet would get into a bidding war over this never-was & never-will-be!!
Stop with the "local junior" BS!!
He never came through the pathway system and went to Souths at his first opportunity FFS!
Glad you're not making the cap decisions!
