$50 Million reason Wests Tigers are prepared to quit Campbelltown.

One hand people complain we have too many grounds and indecision.

Richo provides a stable vision between CS & LO commitment for a minimum of 10yrs with a 5yr option with upgrades to both venues and people kick up a stink about it.

So many factors drive our crowds across both locations be it weather, day/time, opponents, how we are tracking, injuries etc.

If the team keeps tracking the way they have this year onwards then in 2-3yrs we will be winning far more than we lose - crowds will follow.

At last...a breath of fresh air...well done M_T.

Too much common sense for this thread MT

OMG THIS!

Sheens would still be coach if it wasn't for Campbelltown and Heart attack corner (the place where 4 fast food restaurants converge). ... It's sizzlers cheese toast that is to blame.
We're getting some good comedy coming out 😀 amongst some throat s.....g stuff 🥹.
Well done from you CC as well as from GNR.

Funny how our lack of success is the grounds fault. Imagine the last 25 years not playing there? Clearly we’d be unstoppable.
this has got to be the dumbest take I have ever seen. That is what you take out of this discussion?...this is the grounds fault. Wake up to yourself. Totally dishonest appraisal of what is being discussed.

Not going to happen...a small stand for corporates above the youth CoE on the northern end...new sheds for womens league and thats about it

That's a joke. Richo has settled soft on that one. I don't know how those changes really makes the ground a modern fit for purpose sporting venue. It's a real shame.

I saw yesterday that the Panthers redevelopment is costing 300 million, so I’m not sure what 150 will buy each ground. I’ve seen the plan for LO, and it look like they are putting a stand in at the Northern end. Not sure what the deal is with Cambo. Hopefully getting fid of the rock wall eye sores for a start.

Not having a go at you Tom. Actually, I quite like you. I am just highlighting that a lot of excuses are made for Campbelltown. People trying hard to justify and 8/3 split when the numbers don't justify it.
You actually quite like me too, don’t you Fridgey ❤️

Hopefully when the NRL side shows a genuine commitment to the area. I fear Wests Ashfield - have been/will continue to be - a stumbling block in this regard.

No doubt ..: Wests Ashfield have been a bigger impediment to Campbelltown than Balmain were …

Looks like they have decided in the meantime to keep the Magpies out of MacArthur so the South West heartland won’t have branding mixed messages around the Wests Tigers which I think is a good thing ….

I personally don't see huge issue with playing most home games at a redeveloped Campbelltown and maintaining the centre of excellence in Concord at the training base.

It probably would help with recruitment with Sydney based players not necessarily having to relocate. Plus many players would prefer to live closer to concord than campbelltown.

There would be a trade off though. There would have to be a lot of community work done to maintain visibility. Maybe a day a week training at the stadium facilities?

Genuine question, why havent the Magpies relocated there?

Screw half the fanbase aye ! . I find it funny that most old school / new school wests tigers / tigers fans talk about the most optimal solution is unity in sharing between the two. Yet dinosaur 75 plus geriatrics , who live in the north coast , so THEY DONT EVEN LIVE IN THE AREA!!!!!!!!! Talk about it all going 1 way . It’s beyond selfish and narcissistic to me .
I would respect you and that bozo BZN opinion if you actually lived and were advocating for something that directly affected you personally , but literally the only reason you’re advocating is because of some weird nostalgic loyalty to an area you already deemed not good enough , BECAUSE YOUD STILL LIVE THERE , IF YOU EVER DID!
I don’t live in the inner west like I did in my 20s , nor the south west as I did when I was kid , for me I’d love Ctown to be better than it is , as it’s the nearest stadium to me and mine . But it’s not … and rather than playing the post code wars and arguments from 2000, respect the fact that these are real issues and need to be resolved .
Also there’s next to sweet FA upper end of town corporates in the south west . Maybe out narrellan , down Camden valley way there’s a few big businesses there , but really most upper end of town business don’t want to be associated with a team , which personifies lower socio economic . And as far as “wests” go , even used it as a coat of arms and rally cry . Thats an issue that will need to be resolved , and housing/ endless stepford wives , cookie cutter homes , has zero bearing on this fact .
I think the new city they’re taking about building should be looked at heavily by the club , and I’d have argued that we should have looked to have built a brand new stadium there , rather than fixing up C town .

There is no chance IMO they are walking away from Concord anytime soon… like decades
