Roosters buy both top end players and the best juniors from other clubs to call their own when they reach grade. Most clubs chase the best juniors but seem to have a better home grown ratio.
Bulldogs seem to be going down the rooster roster management road to get accelerated success.

When Bula was missing, we lacked the x factor and ball playing he brings from fullback. Turuva played really well but lacks the ball playing and extra zip of Bula. So while it is accurate to call our backs solid, we need to find one or two backs with x factor.

A better fullback is not signing for the Tigers. Key position and we are not at the top end of clubs for marquee players. Bula is about to hit his peak in the next few years not signing him would be one of the most bone headed decisions we could make.

Not until he improves his defence he isn't, he gets rolled anytime anyone gets within 5 of our line and he's the last line of defence.

He will be renumerated well if he extends and it will be $900 or higher. With the entry of new teams into the competition, quality players will be in demand. He will be in demand.

For mine I think we need an experienced half to team up with Luali and move Douehi to 13, and
buy 2 experienced forwards. Whilst we have moved up the ladder this year, we are far from a side making the 8 and playing finals football.

100% agree.
AD filled in ok but is not a long term half.
Latu isn’t close to be top level.
We need an experience half to unlock both Luai and our pack.

No, the deal Melbourne want for Pezet is he is assured a starting spot for 2026 before coming back to Melbourne in 2027 (Munster to Bears?)

Only way they get that is if a starting half at another side does a ACL during the rep games/pre season.
