Likely only 7 players involved in international duty in Oct/Nov with KPP the only set for multiple games. Only major injury heading into pre-season is Latu Fainu (shoulder recon). So we should have a big contingent in pre-season training prior to Christmas.

Will be no changes to Benji's assistant coaching team in 2026 apart from a new KOE NSW Cup coach (Richo, BTR). Sounds like stability in coaching, playing group & admin is a major theme heading into 2026.

IMO Doeuihi will be given significant reps at both halfback & lock in the pre-season now that Latu will miss the early rounds of '26.
We definitely need to recruit another 1st team lock now who can ultimately rotate with AD once Latu flies again.

The vibe I got from Richo's BTR is not to expect any more significant signings unless it's a 'fall-from-the-tree scenario).
Sounds like there will be a number of recruits on lower dollars who have the hunger to play NRL (especially on Cup contracts).

Yes I got the same vibe , no quality nrl players incoming , more likely just reserve graders , I hope there is a big body in the bunch , we can’t win the comp with our current team , Richo is delusional if he thinks we can even with KPP who I think will make a difference , KPP , middle , lock needed

with the way he took to Cup, I'd say there's a fair chance.
NRL preseason will do wonders for him. him and Moors will progress really really quickly. Ethan Roberts I anticipate will factor into calculations pretty quickly as well.
Saw him yesterday you tell he has been doing some lifting. Good kid.

I also liked Richos comments in regards to losing against Cowboys and Titans after having big leads.

Agreed. I doubt he's much if any smaller than Nanai when he debuted as an 18yo from memory.
Pheonix is one kid in our club who has a defensive mindset as well as attack & just love his work ethic on and off the paddock.
As he develops into an elite backrower, I can see him being used both at backrow & right centre as he transitions into seniors. Before anyone shoots me down, not as a permanent centre but those off the bench who can cover both like Simi Sasagi & Luke Garner.

Pacific championships are more than 1 game. If Tonga & Samoa make the final that is 9th November. Boys won’t be until January if they play in the final. Fiji may also be there. Richo not very accurate or maybe trying to build up a little hope. It’s very bleak if we don’t add at least one good middle.
Richo needs to realise teams don’t go into next year just preparing for next year there is a whole bulk of players available to be added to the following years roster from Nov 1.
Or are we really just looking year to year and only looking to add anyone of note to next years squad.
