Has also been playing hooker for his school & reportedly the position his future lies.Halfback is what I found.
Wonder if he is any relation to Pat Busby ....was a fringe Broncos player in their formation years
Saying we're relying on luck is more an observation of the state of the market than a strategy, to be fair. What he's saying is, basically, there isn't anyone who is or is obviously likely to be on the market who they think is a difference maker - which seems fair to me. Personally I think it's a good idea to make it clear that we're not going to sign someone just because they happen to be available. That's how you end up with Josh Reynolds and Moses Mbye.Nov 1....and perth will be in the mix too
Storm, Dogs are others that need forwards
It wont be easy but we are relying on.luck according to richo so fingers Xed
That’s how I’m reading it. The market for props is up at the moment, it’s a bad time to invest, overs everywhere, the good ones will get locked up, the average ones will have their flaws glossed over, and they will be the real winners. Developing one right now is gold. It’s a shame Fatamua, Fa’agutu, Tumeth, etc didn’t turn out better bcoz that’s the void we have. If just one of those and one of the short ass middles we’ve kept like Luallli turn out better we probably not shopping at all.Saying we're relying on luck is more an observation of the state of the market than a strategy, to be fair. assuming he'll be in the running to replace Haywood for Balmain SG.Has also been playing hooker for his school & reportedly the position his future lies.

Martin (coach) said Busby, the team’s starting hooker, had been good in every game this year.
“He’s incredibly fit, he leads our line speed a lot and he’s a very skilful player,” he said.
“He’s really sharp… and he’s very quick out of dummy half.
“He’s just as energetic off the field. He’s always bouncing around and keeping the morale up.
“He’s a really good kid to have in our group.”
Or we could get nothing out of him for 1-2 years. Surely our sights have to set higher than a cast-off from the Warriors whose not a noted game changer. What about Bunty Afoa
He's 29, I'm sure we could get 1-2 years out of him for nothing.
Its usually a red flag if no other club is showing any interest.Or we could get nothing out of him for 1-2 years. Surely our sights have to set higher than a cast-off from the Warriors who’s not a noted game changer.
Yeah the recruits from interstate / overseas seem to land there so makes perfect sense as a replacement for Haywood for the next 2 seasons in SG Ball.assuming he'll be in the running to replace Haywood for Balmain SG.
Now Kalani Going would not be a bad 'get' for his experience & immediately become a first team option at #13 with Doeuihi. Can play backrow as well. Jeez I hope it's us.Its usually a red flag if no other club is showing any interest.
Why ? He's not been seen as long term first grade material at either the Raiders or Warriors so why would he make a material difference to us ??Now Kalani Going would not be a bad 'get' for his experience & immediately become a first team option at #13 with Doeuihi. He was behind a stacked pack tbh at the Warriors. Best player in NSW Cup arguably for multiple years. Brings experience, leadership & hunger to get an opportunity. If he was coming, it wouldn't be on big dollars and he's the sort of player who could help mentor Siotame Havea Jr in that position. Why ? Our best bet would be to try to target a bench forward from one of the top 4 teams who has played longer minutes when needed but can't get a starting spot or more minutes because the squad is stacked. What do you suggest then?
We can’t keep going into seasons with Alex Twal as our starting prop.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the guy and respect his effort but his ceiling at most other clubs is likely “dependable squaddie”.
Here he is often seen as starting calibre.
We need guys who will push him and others down the pecking order. Not young blokes he has to train, who may come good, but reliable first graders.
