The runs he had looked like he just wanted to go to the line stand upright and offload

I’m glad the final two tests were pre sold sellouts otherwise no one would turn up.
Nothings really changed with the English test team, just not good enough.
Clean sweep to Aussies coming up.
When we win the series next Saturday, I predict changes for the third game.
Moses in for Cleary, Strange to bench and Edward’s in place of the Fox.
And maybe more !

Bateman being left out isn’t the big story, he is at the end of his career.
Welsby, the Pommie version of Billy Slater is.
They are copping a huge reality check ahead of the World Cup. Losing that semi to Samoa in the last WC was embarrassing as that Samoan side was not that good. The Samoan team now is far better.
It is possible we have a WC semi final that does not feature England.
That will be very bad for the international game.
