2025 Kangaroos Ashes Tour

I see it as the players i memtioned not playing up to the standard reqd to retain that jumper...un- earning the jumper so.to speak.
I wonder what kevvie wouldve done had we lost the 2nd test.
I understand not changing a winning team, most coaches would give anything for the same 17 week on wek out in the NRL, slightly different scenario here but i see Walters pov

Having Edwards over Walsh or Moses over Clearly isn't devaluing the jersey because the players are inferior, but because the perception would be that this third game is a dead rubber and they're giving the jumper to keep everyone happy.

Playing for Kangaroos is the highest of all accolades IMO, and just like a whitewash in SOO, you pick the team that is going to win and this is an undefeated team.

Walters had nothing to gain by changing the players, if they lost with the reshaped team he would have been absolutely crucified whereas if they lost with the original 17 they would just say the team had nothing to play for. He would have copped a bit of heat for not getting them up for a whitewash, however it would have soon been forgotten. Why would he put his neck on the line for a dead rubber.

Thats not really logical, its only to suut your argumemt

The credit.or.criticism would.be the same for either scenario re win.or lose

This is their problem going into next year’s World Cup.
They are isolated from the best players over there and seem to have become comfortable and possibly a tad arrogant.
This series has hopefully provided the kick up the arse they need.
There biggest problem is they're just not good enough Tuck haven't been for years, through the decades they have amassed some good teams but just can't make the next step.

Can't even remember the last time they beat the roos.

I’ve found 2 results which might help depending on what you are looking for exactly. The last time England beat Australia was in the 1995 World Cup. They beat us 20-16, but we still won the World Cup that year against them in the finals. If you’re referring to the Ashes series itself, Great Britain did beat Australia in the 2001 Ashes series, but we still beat them 2-1 to win the Ashes.

Well that pretty well sums it up hey they don't win many against us.
They have some good individuals but not enough right across the park, been donkeys when you thought they could take out a series.
