Ref ruining what would have been a huge chance at an upset for south Africa.
2 or 3 wrong calls and 2 or 3 50/50s

Why bother putting the minnows on TV just for the ref to butcher the contest.

Its some poindexter from the nrl who is pretty sure has dudded us before.

What I can't figure out OMT, why are we having qualifying games for a world cup which basically it's a sport only played in half a dozen countries unlike soccer which has to be whittled down to 32 countries in the world cup, rugby league should be dragging in whoever wants to play

Decision makers have always been a source of problems in sport both team and individual and it annoys me greatly, usually it is incompetence but sometimes it is favouritsm and much rarer corruption.

South Africa having a red hot go, they just make some silly decisions in the moment, which shows their inexperience. Too many grubbers - let the ball sing!

Didn't watch the game but was interested to find out who the ref was after seeing everyone's complaints about how he was upholding the rules.

Looks like it was our mate Wyatt (Raymond) Earp, come to town to enforce the law.

So a country of 15k people being represented by a team I doubt any of whom were actually born in cook islands or have lived their is now in the world cup and we leave out a nation of 63 million where Union is very popular but NRL could flourish.

This sport really does shoot itself in the foot from an international perspective.

Well, that nation who lost need to improve. They should be better than they are to be frank. They need help to get there.
As for the Cook Islands, well they have proven themselves to be in the top 10 so have earned their spot.
