I don’t think he is a long term halfback proposition because he is a running half and our side needs someone to organise them and implement game plans.
His experience in this position is also essentially non existent. 9 games in first grade as a 7 with only 4 of them here.
He has done a good job covering but that is his ceiling in this position.

hopefully latu locks in this pre-season then to get the 7 jersey.

I been banging on that we need a real 7, since Prince left. We had Lui finally come good but we was a DV DH. Then Moses and we pushed him off the bus for Brooks, who turned out to be a 6. Each time we’ve had a real 7 we have made headway.
I actually have more confidence in Madden at 7 than Doobs. He got lucky in that MOM game he had everything fall in his lap. It happens. But it’s still a no for me.
I don’t reckon they’re listening though.

My concern with that plan is, he is a 6.
I hope he kills it at 7, but he’s a 6 last time I seen him.

Terrell May isn't a great passer, or a creative passer, but he is willing to pass before the line much in the way Todd Payten used to. Instead of recreating Yeo when you can't- look to maximise what the club does have. If May has the 'permission' to play somewhere between a front rower & distributor, it might make those elongated minutes on the field more useful than just stat lines. Play him 15 minutes as a semi-lock/Todd Payten, then when Latu/Doueihi are on, switch him into a more traditional front rower role.

With Douhei at 7 we averaged 24 points a game.

Douhei takes us into the top 8 for our average points scored per game.

How many games he started at 7 is really irrelevant.

The 7 and 6 don't play that differently. The 7 needs to be more vocal and march his team mates around the paddock. I don't see how Douhie can't do that role. His defence which was suspect is ok now. He has always been a handful in attack.

AD will be at lock next year imo, with Twal rotating to prop off the bench. Imagine Luai, Fainu, and Doueihi firing on all cylinders, with Bulla sweeping in (if he stays), that’s a dangerous ball‑running spine with forward creativity, which Twal doesn’t offer.

This would be disgusting

It was the only good thing about Super League and should definitely be instrumented in all young junior games to stop the imbalance between sides. Nothing more demoralising than standing behind your tryline half the game when you basically don't touch the ball.
