WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION!

Mate I don't think they give a shit about losing money. HBG have got plenty of money and growing.

The debenture holders cannot be removed. 5 million loss or 5 million profit...zero accountability.

This is all just a wrestle for control amongst factions of debenture holders and they don't respect the damage they are causing.

I truly believe, that they believe, they will get control and they will fix it their way and everyone will live happily ever after....the problem is they are deluded.
As acknowledged by B2T earlier today, I to would support a Wests Magpies team if that was the only option.
That is not being nasty, just realism that I would rather support them than anyone else if there was no Wests Tigers.
But exactly the same as what B2T stated this morning, ithere is zero chance of Wests Magpies being admitted to the NRL and if my some miracle it did happen they will have very minimal support and almost certainly a much weaker team than we currently have.
So I’m not sure if anyone on the HBG board aside from DB really believe in the fairy tales, but it will not happen and if it did it would be a massive failure. The NRL have a good product, they will not allow it.

What is the end goal though?
HBG say it’s not worth it and sell up? Can’t see that happening. Not unless all the players leave and they are forced to give in.
The NRL cancel our licence? That’s not a great result.
What is the hopeful outcome a rally heading to their premises going to achieve?
The NRL don't need to cancel our licence.

You missed my point. It was a list of ways that fans contribute money to the sport. Which gets passed onto clubs. If the NRL don’t stand up for us, we have the right to withdraw that funding. Nobody said you have to.
Yeah I totally understood that, except instead of punishing HBG you decided to punish
- Women’s sport
- wests tigers sponsors who have no control over the siutation
- Yourself as a fan of rugby league

Furthermore, the Wests Tigers are 1 of soon to be 19 clubs and have not even made the finals for over a decade. We for do NOT have that much influence of the NRL that even if EVERY SINGLE supporter boycotted everything to do with the NRL at the very most it would be like a 7% impact probably less than 5% if we’re being honest. I don’t think it’s that much for the NRL. Regardless that wouldn’t happen so it would probably end up being not even a 0.1% impact in the end.

So anyway, I’m all for you petitioning for change just please make sure it’s well targeted and likely to have some sort of tangible impact on the situation. Boycott HBG, spamming them emails about your displeasure, going to the protest all good ideas. Will unfollowing the NRL on Instagram actually occasion any quantifiable change. No.

Have we enquired with the Wrexham owners?

once again, thank you for your feedback.

Again, when were picking up another wooden spoon under HBG , see how much you give a stuff about NRLW.

The Wests Tigers don't cease to exist without the HBG. The commercial IP for the Wests Tigers is controlled by the NRL.
So what does it take to get to that stage? What is the burden of proof? If they lose the licence what happens next?
Will the NRL own us until a buyer can be found?
Where will we get our players from? I’m sure the Wests pathways will slam shut and Balmain produces nothing.
What is happening with the board? Everyone seems to think 4 x HBG placements will occur, but is that confirmed? Is it real?
What if we ended up with 4 members who work better than the previous 4 did?

I know these are pretty unanswerable questions currently but that’s all the more reason not to tip more fuel on the fire just yet.

I’ve sent mine too, I’ll add other actions to this post that I believe will also highlight to the powers that be at the NRL that they are going to lose big as a result of HBG actions.

- Boycott State of origin and finals in 2026
- Boycott the next rugby league world cup
- Boycott NRLW
- Cancel your pay tv subscriptions (or ask for a discount), sighting the actions of WT owners as the reason
- Do not buy merchandise this Christmas
- Do not frequent HBG establishments
- Do not support WT sponsors
- Cancel your NRL online account
- Boycott Vegas & Magic round
- Demand the NRL talk to WT about refunding your membership
- Unfollow the NRL socials
- Unsubscribe from NRL emails
- Threaten to become a Swans member 😂

I’ll continue to add to this post.
Threaten to sign for r360 in 2028

I'm not trying to wind up here. I don't always agree with you on topics, but I sense you do love the club and you're certainly not what a lot of people on here say you are... So I'll share my thoughts

I think its really important for the fans to get together and give their voice and show their feelings. This topic is always discussed and unpacked as a Balmain Vs Wests thing. But the biggest and most important faction are the Wests Tigers fans. What you might call a 'Native WT fan'. These are people who either started watching footy post 2000, or have a closer connection to WT history than winfield cup days. These 'Natives" have no representation and are also invisible amongst journalists and in boardrooms.

To me that's the most frustrating thing. We are this silent majority of fans who have a perfectly well established footy club with its own distinct identity, culture and history (of success and failure). 30 damned years of it. But we are INVISIBLE in the discussions. Its 2% of our population ruining it for the other 98%.

The only journalist/presenter who has any inkling towards this is Joel Caine.

In terms of a raw, tangible, empirical result? You are correct, a rally not much likely to change much. But if the rally is a success in terms of showout, and gives energy and passion to the massive majority of fans who just want to leave the past behind and be one club... then other dominos just might fall after that. PVL doesn't want protests in the NRL in this day and age. it might be the the thing that tips direct action over the line. in I think it'd be the first time that WT fans march together for its own identity distinct from the old clubs. Thats huge.

There is also a chance that it means a lot to the players as well. Just lots of intangible things, that are what makes a club a club.

The Wests Tigers Macarthur Junior League and Group 6 junior league receives the majority of its funding from Wests Sports Macarthur. This has no relationship to the HBG, why would we lose access to those leagues?

Can't say I'd support a Magpies team because at that point it's not a merger its a hostile takover. Both Balmain and Wests Tigers would have been erased. It's asking too much to show loyalty to the conquerer.

Well written and reasoned.
I agree that side of it will be positive. I understand the feelings of under 30’s who see their club being taken away. Hell I’m an old Tiger fan who embraced this merger early on and don’t want to see the club fold.

However…Trying to bully the owners into relinquishing their asset? I don’t think this part will end well. Trying to pressure PVL may also backfire. The longer this drags on, the more it will piss off the rest of the RL world as well. This must be our 200th drama event in 30 years. People are getting sick and tired of it, I know I am.

What would you like to see happen? Give HBG another crack? 15th year lucky. Reckon they’re due?

I don’t know the answer, I’m hypothesising

If hbg allow the licence to be lost before a sale can be made then that's it. They get nothing and the NRL has a 60 million dollar licence they can sell to the next guy. HBG are stupid, but not that stupid. They would accept sale proceeds.

Juniors are funded by WSRLFC and HBG does their bit too as they always have...it's like saying if Balmain got bought out by HBG, would Balmain stop funding Balmain junior football....of course not...it's their sole purpose of existing...to be a football club.

I don't think HBG give that much to Wests and Balmain junior football in the scheme of things - i don't even think it's close to a million. easy money to replace if they decided to get petty.

Of course not and might I add that I was one of the first to call these muppets out. Way before it became cool to do so….Years before.
Obviously I’d like to see them sell the club….organically. Not with a gun to their head from fans or the administration but because the club had become so worthy that it was sort after.
We need to win games of football and ignore this crap in the boardroom.
