What expert qualifications have you got to be right all of the time in your 20’s ?
I hate to break it to you, but very few if anyone in their 20’s knows it all.
You are very passionate about Wests Tigers and are great at finding stories that appear in the media, that is admirable but it does t give you the life experience to know everything just yet.
If you don’t believe me ask your parents or older family members.
While you are at it, look up the meaning of objective thinking.

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson weighs up future amid NRL investigation

Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson could walk away from the club in the coming days, as he weighs up his future amid an NRL investigation over allegations surrounding his time at the club.

Brent Read and Michael Carayannis

Wests Tigers chief executive Shane Richardson isn’t ready to publicly address his future, or for that matter the NRL inquiries surrounding his time at the embattled club.
Privately though, he is believed to be unconcerned. Richardson has told those close to him that he stands by a record that includes more than 30 years in the game, multiple premierships and a reputation as a rugby league mover and shaker.

He will spend the weekend considering his future at the Tigers but the smart money suggests he will walk away as soon as Monday, in all likelihood with a significant severance package and his head held high.

The NRL, which is locked in talks with the Tigers after majority owners the Holman Barnes Group seized back control of the board by removing four independent directors including former NSW premier Barry O’Farell, has confirmed they are making inquiries around some of the financial dealings under Richardson’s regime after a whistleblower made allegations to head office.

Richardson has privately insisted everything was above board and any conflicts of interest – he and his son Brent own a marketing and digital company that was used by the Tigers – were declared.

It is understood when he first arrived at the club, Richardson was acting as a consultant and payment was made to his company. Again, Richardson has told those close to him that there was nothing untoward.

Regardless, Richardson came back in part because the Tigers made a commitment to independent governance and they have now peeled that back. The NRL may yet seize control, but it may come too late to save Richardson – Holman Barnes are believed to have earmarked outgoing Manly chief executive Tony Mestrov to take over in the interim, while ex-St George Illawarra boss Ryan Webb has also been mentioned.

While Richardson spends the weekend mulling over his the Holman Barnes Group have removed a statement from their website outlining why they axed four directors amid the threat of legal action.

The Holman Barnes Group posted an announcement on their website on Monday which was also circulated to the media.

Holman Barnes Group chief executive Daniel Paton also produced a very polished video to explain the decision.

It has since been removed amid speculation that three of the four dumped directors considering taking legal action against the Holman Barnes Group for what they believe was a false narrative spun by the owners of the Wests Tigers.

It is understood the dumped trio Annabelle Williams, Charlie Viola and Michelle McDowell are exploring legal action following their surprise axing after just 11 months on the board.

The trio are successful business people in their own right and voluntarily did their roles on the Tigers board. O’Farrell was unlikely to be part of any legal action.

Holman Barnes Group did not respond to request for comment nor did any of the former Tigers board members.

Of particular concern for the board members were suggestions that there was a problem with “communication” between the Tigers and Holman Barnes board.

The statement continued to say they wanted to “strengthen and ensure clearer visibility and collaboration across both organisations, a notice of removal has been issued to the independent directors of the Wests Tigers board”.

Holman Barnes Chairman Dennis Burgess sat on the Tigers board while Paton was also involved in subcommittees alongside some Tigers board members.

Holman Barnes have had a year in the headlines having dumped four of their own board members at different times this year before axing four Tigers board members earlier this week.

One former Holman Barnes board member Rick Wayde enjoyed a financial out of court settlement with the group for an undisclosed amount.

Do you think in not aware of the gravity of the situation?

Did you miss the bit where i said too many are jumping to all sorts of conclusions...ie shadows

People are talking about merging with brisbane tigers, perth bears, worried itll be the balmain bulldogs... going off 3/4 cocked...its a bit extreme

Good onya for spreading the word
Jumping at shadows generally means there isn’t a problem mate. It’s not a good expression in this scenario.

People need to come together as one and demand excellence for once. We’ve been force-fed shit sandwiches for 15 years.

hahaha going at me for my age is ironic when it’s the dinasours that are blowing the club up

Ten times the crowd that will be there this year if Richo is shafted and the HBG are left to run things.. 4578 would be the good old days in that case i fear.. mate i just want the Wests Tigers to continue to improve under the plan and the visions that Benji and Richo were working on and the players were apparently buying in to… i was starting to see it coming to fruition and it had me excited …all this self inflicted sabotage from burgess and his cronies is so unnecessary and infuriating..
Neddy they literally just killed off the plan.

You know I think we are all used to being optimistic and hopeful for our fortunes to turn around. Our mindset needs to shift - it's all broken. Has been since HBG took control. We should only accept new owners as the next step. Nothing more and nothing less.

Why don't they rip into HBG or talk about how successful Richo has been...soft article

Form replies from NRL Feedback

They can only do shit if hbg done illegal things or things like the eels did in nature

The club is not bankrupt , you don’t see them stepping in with manly , who has an owner that cant be pushed , is chairman who is hardly in the country and basically has new CEO’s and the like every year… no

So unless these clowns have done something majorly wrong they ask some questions and say nothing to see.
Sorry to repeat myself, but yes the NRL can do something. They can withhold their licence renewal unless/until new owners buy out HBG. That is clear...it is the only way and also, thankfully for fans, the absolutely best solution for the future.

Brent Read: Inside the Wests Tigers implosion and the man pulling the strings

It’s official, the Wests Tigers are a disaster. After imploding following a season of great promise they no longer deserve any column inches devoted to them, writes BRENT READ.

I can’t claim to be a Wests Tigers fan but I have drunk the club’s Koolaid on a few occasions in recent years. Even suggested they would be finals contenders a year or two back.
That column didn’t age well. Not sure this one will either because I am putting a line through the club. After this week, this column will become a Tigers-free zone.
They no longer deserve any column inches devoted to them given the way they have imploded after a season of great promise. The Tigers are a disaster zone.
They have gone a decade without finals and if their behaviour off the field is any indication, that may be the least of their problems.

This is a club that has mastered the art of taking two steps forward and three steps back steps back. Self-sabotage is now in their DNA. It seeps out of the woodwork at Concord Oval. Mediocrity barely does it justice.
Coach Benji Marshall must be pulling his hair out. This is a guy who made a career out of being brilliant. The Tigers were a force on his watch. Now, despite his best efforts, they are a joke thanks to their antics off the field.

Remarkably, the most powerful man at the Tigers right now – on paper at least – is a former bass guitarist for Aussie pop band The Masters Apprentices. According to Wikipedia, Dennis Burgess – better known as Denny – played with the band for one year in 1972.
He also played for The Throb and The Whispers – good luck if you remember them – and has been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
Got an OAM a couple of years back as well for his services to performing arts and the musical industry. When it comes to music, Denny is Aussie royalty.
As far as rugby league is concerned, from what we have seen so far, Denny appears to make a good bass guitarist. Yet here he is, the man in the hottest seat as the Wests Tigers lurch from one crisis to the next.

Most Tigers fans wouldn’t know him from a bar of soap. It seems like a stunning rise but in actual fact, it has been a slow and steady ascent. Burgess has been in and around the game for a long time.
He started as a director at Wests Ashfield Leagues Club in 2000 and the Western Suburbs Magpies in 2004. He has been a director at the Tigers since 2007, serving on the board on an intermittent basis.
He has been there for many of the big decisions of the club for nearly two decades. Truth be told, the Tigers have been a disaster for much of his watch. Just when they looked to be turning things around, Denny and his fellow Holman Barnes Group board decided to blow the joint up.
One of the suggestions has been that he and his fellow HBG directors want to revive the Western Suburbs Magpies at the expense of the Tigers. Again, take a look at his social media account and you quickly realise that the Magpies are Denny’s first love.

Pictures of him in Tigers apparel are few and far between, which only serves to heighten the view that the Magpies are flexing their muscles.
When it comes to social media, among the 4572 pages his Instagram account follows are more than 200 adult content creators.
While some of the people his account follows may be a bit loose, let he who is without fault cast the first stone, I say. Occasionally we all stray off into areas we probably shouldn’t.
Denny was asked for comment about his personal choices by this column but didn’t respond. That said, this column didn’t start out as a personal attack on Burgess and it won’t end there either.
It does rightly ask the question about how he seems to be pulling such powerful strings at the club and whether Tigers fans should be concerned.
According to people close to the club, Burgess is no puppet. He doesn’t say a lot but he knows who to work a backroom. He may not get around in Tigers clobber but he is a visible presence at their games, shuffling in and out of the dressing room after matches and keeping largely to himself.
We’re told he can be ruthless when he needs to be. We have seen that this week as Holman Barnes Group have turned the Tigers on their head. Their fans are up in arms. The NRL is pulling its hair out.
The Tigers are one of the game’s sleeping giants but they have been comatosed for an eternity. This column – and so many of their supporters – have had enough.
++++++++

He’s so mad he’s getting ready to tell everyone about that time he managed 1300 people while simultaneously winning the war in the Pacific single-handedly
Very disrespectful, yet another know all on this forum.
We must have some of the smartest supporters on the planet, knowing all the answers before the facts have been presented.

When I am old,

Damn right I am going to be Problematic!
Cmon it's the one good thing about being old. Those Aquard questions that turn everyone silent.
