Does anyone really believe that Pascoe was sacked? The guy had far too many crazy ideas coming out of left field every other day.
Ideas like transforming Brooksy into a phone canvasser, or mailing out free memberships to kids. This supposed increase in memberships reflected just as well on the HBG board, so why would they sack a WT CEO who was doing what he was told to do?
Pascoe had openly admitted he had written his resignation letter months before the review and the reason he gave? He had no authority.
No, HBG wanted him to stay.

For the hundredth time, there's nothing wrong with HBG trying to build a strong Magpies.

Where it becomes an issue is when they try to merge that agenda into whats happening at Wests Tigers where the size of the Magpie and the amount of orange in the jersey turns into a federal case at board level. Where the chairman of HBG, who was a sitting WT board member yells out we are bringing the Magpies back.

That behaviour is anti-WT. It is not anti-Balmain.

Also- that in itself should remove anything Lee H says about HBG as questionable & invalid.

Yes, Pascoe and Lee have had a few things to say since they were shown the door but they haven't disputed anything about financial statements or said anything to dispute the membership numbers they cooked up despite having ample opportunities to do so.

I would think that those at least could be taken as being fact.
