Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I’m failing to see why Benji would leave or get sacked.
He now has more power than ever and is in a strong position knowing the entire club is in serious jeopardy without him.
He might now get a slice of Richo’s wage.
That may be true if the owners were in any way shape or form concerned about the state of the club, but that doesnt appear to be the case eh

And people wonder why JL has get out of this rabble clauses every year.
Who is or isn't on the Board of Directors would have minimal influence on player behaviour - they would never meet them in any great capacity. Employees just don't get up and leave a company if the Board changes - it's just too far removed from the day to day work of the company . Players are protected by contracts with the entity - not the Board. If the Board changes there's no change to the player's contract status. They are professional sportsmen playing for whichever club will pay them the most.

Ok buddy …I’m sure you ‘ve discussed the matter at length with the playing group ..

Saw this on fox sports. To me it is tabloid trash at it's finest: amplify a bad situation with sensationalist hyperbole.

People will (unfortunately) slow down to look at a car crash, but they'll all stop for a 7 car catastrophe....

If there is any saving grace in all this, it is that at least it is quite far out from season 2026; News cycles and people's attention spans have never been shorter....

I'm hopeful that in a couple of months' time this will at least have faded enough that I will be in a position to really care about the club again.

If you think they don't have a genuine desire to play for a club that has stability and wants to win you may be of the generation that lived on awards for all.

These guys aren’t employees they are a brand. And their brand is tied to Wests Tigers brand. Which imo is being absolutely pizzled by HBG. That’s why they care.

Self-inflicted wounds.

The media will keep this story going for a while … there are a lot of new angles to explore …

Only hope is if the NRL takes control somehow

Until the boad dcisions start to impact the direction that the club is heading, or deciding what part of football operations will be funded and how, enagement with the region etc.

We have seen the discontent previously and given that we have changed coaches and players and CEOs etc with no change, until the independent board was in place, we already know what happens next.

Yes they should be able to block out most of it; however, what it affects is our ability to recruit and retain players and coaching staff - the lifeblood of success.

Probably because he knows what a backstabbing group of losers he has to deal with in management who don't have the best interests of his or our club as their number one priority.

Mestrov was pushed out of Manly..had lost the confidence of their owner, the captain, best goalkeeper and turbos aren't fans...
will be compliant to HBG,which will be a huge step backwards for WTs with both their track records
Waiting for pvl to do something that puts the fans first..

Any chance we are trying to off load Bird to accomodate Xavier Va’a who has just been released from the roosters
doubtful, too busy fighting amongst ourselves.
