The man who wrestled the gunman and disarmed him is Muslim. An act of unprecedented bravery which I am sure will be lost in the outpouring of blame. The shooters were from Pakistan, south Asia.
Not the middle east.

The hero that tackled and disarmed the gunman has a middle eastern nameThe shooters were from Pakistan, south Asia.

It's a disgrace ey.Do we have to perpetually separate people into groups?
That's what keeps this rubbish going.
Two murderous mutant humans killed 16 Australians.
That's how I see it.
Yes that bloke who I guess is a Muslim ( from his name ) he should receive the highest reward for bravery, just shows that all Muslims don’t want to kill Jews or others , BIG thanks to that manAt a guess, I would say YES, but then again, the fruit shop owner from Sutherland that everyone is hailing as a hero (and rightly so) is probably a Muslim as well.
I am pro-Australian reeling at the shock of other Australians killed while participating in a celebration of their faith. Another Australian in an act of bravery has saved the lives of more potential victims. Hopefully our security agencies and police will uncover the truth and make arrests if evidence supports it.Lots of comments deleted in this thread, I guess it's a pro Muslim person trying to protect there community like the rest of them on social media, anyone surprised?
It sort of highlights the issue though. While most Muslims will go through life without incident, we can't deny there is a long line of examples around the world that would indicate a problem exists. The man who wrestled the gunman and disarmed him is Muslim. A good man, and if he was Muslim, then I applaud him in embracing Australian values. At a guess, I would say YES, but then again, the fruit shop owner from Sutherland that everyone is hailing as a hero (and rightly so) is probably a Muslim as well.
I saw a post a few days ago saying its like the 20th anniversary of the Cronulla riots. It sort of highlights the issue though. While most Muslims will go through life without incident, we can't deny there is a long line of examples around the world that would indicate a problem exists.
One guy is a business owner. Willing to put his life on the line to stop the carnage. I think the word hero doesn't do him justice. Muslim.
Another takes his son on a killing spree for ideological reasons. Muslim.
In practical terms, how is an immigration officer meant to distinguish between these people?
This is a matter for our police and security agencies. They will investigate and no doubt report to Govt, perhaps to the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions. But if the police uncover stuff will Albo deport his family and others who have said they were delighted that Jews where killed two years ago .
Not a hope Albo is a joke he is very much a middle eastern lover , since his early 20ts

Let’s just say it was the other way around, what would come next, an eye for an eye?
I’m hoping the actions of the brave lone hero do more to bring us together. Bravo.
A Muslim disarming another Muslim shooting at Jews, that must definitely be a first.
And should be used to show that Muslims need to care about their adopted country, and fellow man.
Lot of mixed reports.Didn't happen. He is a Maronite Christian
Honestly, I'd be shocked if there was random retaliation. Cronulla was a retaliation against an ongoing problem. I think it's pretty well documented. It all went a bit far in the end.I saw a post a few days ago saying its like the 20th anniversary of the Cronulla riots.
Then there is this attack, at a beach location.
Then 6 days a post saying Australia is the second safest country in the world.
Anyway, just thinking...
I hope there isn't retaliation attacks that follow on from this, causing more harm... eye for an eye and the world goes blind.
I'm just lost for words about this all.
It's just so beyond sickening.
You sound almost relieved you don’t have to credit a Muslim…Which btw, you don’t know if he is or not. Just go with the report that’s most convenient for you. Then that’s obviously why he did it ! I apologise profusely to him for calling him a Muslim.
(Sorry, I read elsewhere he was a Muslim - important to get your facts straight).
I’ve actually met a few Maronite Christians before, nice people with good attitudes.
Now, if we could only find some Muslims with decent values - we could hold them up as examples.
PS my part solution - stop the leak by not allowing anymore Muslim immigrants into Australia effective February 1.
Especially when no one has any facts. When the facts come to light, they will be facts forever. You will have the next 10, 20, 30 years to wax lyrical. But some can’t wait that long and need to let their prejudices bleed out ASAP.We are all Australians and live in a multi-cultural society. Laws are in place to protect us and they have for many years. Violence of this type is tragic and will be dealt with by our police and security agencies. Politicising the tragedy serves no purpose.
