17 January 1999: When Ricky Ponting was banned for 3 matches for being beaten up in a nightclub:

On 17 January 1999, Ricky Ponting came home after a night out with his face and whole body battered and bruised after being beaten senseless by someone. When asked to identify who it was, he either wasn't able to or refused.
In response, the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), then in charge of Australian Cricket (the equivalent of what is now Cricket Australia) banned him for 3 months.

The cigar type was a significant step forward.
Think they still need to do some work on the protector, every time someone gets hit “ down there” you can personally feel the pain despite the protection.
Maybe that’s a retirement project for me,
“ Hals Hero “, I like it !

Getting hit in the groin by a cricket ball is something no male will ever forget or want a second time.I shudder every time i see someone hit in that area.
