HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

Funny how you and old mate Jim seem to have a problem with my being a moderator on this forum and expressing any opinion about my team, the Wests Tigers, and either of the 2 foundation clubs. Funnily enough, when you are interested in something on social media, the algorithm makes sure you see more of it - as someone so kindly tried to school me about in another thread. So, because I follow Wests Tigers, and therefore have to know about WSM and BT stuff as it affects the team I follow, Western Suburbs stuff comes up on my newsfeed.

The only people looking for outrage are you and your entourage.

Oh, and it's "cue"
That may be all true - but my gripe wasn't that you read it, it was your decision to post it.

Flip it..

What decisions related to actually taking the field have they made?

-- Renew Benji for 4 years, because we came 13th!

We saw our entire board fired, Everything in the papers and for what? A shade of orange on the Jersey?

None of the actions of HBG related to ANYTHING our team is actually doing!... and that's my point.

While HBG are playing the Magpies vs Balmain game or as I suspect the Wests Ashfield vs Campbelltown game. The Team gets ignored.

Of the 4 independent directors, none of them are NRL players. Only 1 is an Athlete.

Gould went into Penrith and slapped everyone till everyone was saying "NRL, NRL, NRL" all the time. We brainfarted into a Non-NRL important situation and then panic-signed Benji.

Not disagreeing with you, but asking the question who is thinking of the NRL team?
I think we are discussing the same point but from slightly different angles.

Not much of this directly affects taking the field today, but HBG played with key foundations that absolutely impact the on-field team long term. Removing independent board members led directly to Richo leaving, which then created uncertainty around Benji’s position. That uncertainty flows straight into player retention and recruitment.
Add to that the constant off-field noise, and it becomes harder to attract quality people both on and off the field. You can say the team should be focused on next season — and they should — but eventually this sort of instability always leaks into performance.

HBG needs to be removed from any position where they can hamstring the NRL club. The football department needs continuity and space to build, not staff constantly looking over their shoulder.
Rip the band-aid off. End the joint venture. Bring in an owner who is focused on the Wests Tigers, top to bottom. One club. One direction. End the internal arguments once and for all.

If some people are still clinging to nostalgia — Watching the black and white in black and white, or black and gold on the hill — sorry, but that can’t come at the expense of the club’s future. For the greater good, it has to end.

No maybe he put me on Ignore because I'm anti Magpies apparently.
I don’t think that stops you from seeing his posts. I don’t agree with much he says, but I don’t think anything he says is grounds for permanent banning either. I think those sorts of bans should be in place for excessive abuse and/or threats. Not for someone who’s a windbag. He’s very easy to just either put on ignore or skip his posts entirely.

G, buddy, do you ever put me on ignore, speak to me.

You betcha.
There was no point in posting beyond firing up the anti-Western Subs. faction

Surely, given the tragic week we have all endured - unnecessarily inflaming the mob is worth avoiding.
Are you actually serious? That is a really nasty accusation to make, and completely untrue. I hope you will follow your own advice, and refrain from posting anything about the actions of either foundation club, nor your feelings about saud behaviour in future.

Well said Canberra-T.
I've said it previously and Ill say it again -to genuinely cut ties with the dreaded past we need to turn out in Puce, Sable & Cloud Dancer

He's made plenty of inflammatory remarks before particularly anti semitic ones towards @cochise
