Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Dragons lose another young talent

The Dragons have lost another of their promising juniors - former Harold Matthews Player of the Year Alex Futialo.

The big, raw-boned 18-year-old prop has gone to the Tigers ... with a catch.

Futialo has only signed a one-year deal as he is attracting plenty of interest from the rugby union ranks.

And with Perth entering the premiership in 2027 when he is a free agent, don't be surprised if Mal Meninga calls the boom front-rower for a sneaky chat.

I hope he will go on to be a handy player for us but the 1 year contract makes me fear that we will just be used until a better offer comes along especially since there is interest in him. Hopefully if he is good they can convince him to stay.

Well,we get first look at him..and have a really good look at training..and if he looks like he cld be part of our long term plan we will be competitive $$
1 year less than ideal, but better than bidding on open market against desperate clubs, particularly if he likes the joint

I think the team needs the strongest 13 to start and this ain’t it.
They should start the young Makasini at left back row, start Skilton on the left wing, move Samuela to lock, Sione to front row, Latu to 7 (when fit) - Doueihi, Twal, Pole to the bench.
Mate you are in danger of becoming the next forum rugby league mad scientist lol, where's Jolls when you need him 😀.

LO deemed unsafe for A League games this week

With the number of players regularly falling down with injury during the entire season at every venue, I am surprised that Soccer is even allowed anymore. And what about concussion protocol when they're actually using their heads to hit the ball? There's got to be an investigation! 🤪 🍷 ⚽
