Anyone had experience with appendicitis? Currently sitting at the hospital with very similar symptoms so just wanted to know a bit more from some people who’ve had it.

Oh you poor thing, you did the right thing to get it checked out, a burst appendix can be nasty. Hope you can get it sorted out

Burst appendix are my greatest fear. That and kidney stones. Had surgery twice when I was about 5 years old and the experiences scarred me for life.

2 surgeries at 5 , oh that’s terrible, seeing little kids sick is heartbreaking.

Merry Christmas from my hospital bed.

Had my appendix removed yesterday but will fortunately be discharged at sometime today and spend the day with extended family as the hospital is like 1km from my cousins house who we always spend Christmas at.

Obviously the timing of this is not ideal but my heart goes out to anyone here who is currently in hospital or has loved ones in hospital on what should be a day of great celebration with family and friends.

Also big shoutout to all the others on here going through much nastier health conditions like cancer and the like and hope the treatment and recovery goes as well as possible.

Very much appreciate the work of the people in the hospital who’ve been way better than expected and also are here taking care of others over Christmas.
