yea very good valid points there Vicious!!! oh well at least we have a couple of roster spots still available. I reckon we are still trying to offload Bird but cant find a buyer

Not sure about how anyone else sees it, but for mine 2005 and 2015 were 2 great grand finals.

Was happy to see the Cowboys win 10 years after being beaten by us but have since developed a great dislike for the Cowboys thanks to the filthy tactics of Townsend, Feldt*, Butler & Klown.

* Held Kyle Feldt in high regard up until his disgusting milking of an escort penalty and the icing on the cake was the way he laughed about it.

As far as I am concerned, the filthy scumbag destroyed his legacy on that day with that one disgraceful action.

I believe that even Todd Payten, although grateful to receive the 2 competition points was not all that happy about how they were earned.

It left a bad taste but they followed the rules - it wasn’t cheating.
I was at that game and then went out on the town after it. Most people I spoke with from both sides had a “shit happens” type attitude. Tigers and Cowboys fans are very similar in approaches to the sport.
As for Kyle Feldt…he is still a well regarded player for mine. A magician at scoring tries in the air, who had a strong career to be proud of.

Yes it appears Benji and Jack Bird have fallen out.
Jack Bird is an enigma, he still has the ability to provide us plenty of value as a first receiver style if 13 if he gets himself fit and in the right frame of mind.
Nothing much has been shown or mentioned of him over the offseason so far which is a bit of a concern.

Someone on here mentioned hed bulked up ,got himself fit,ready for a stint in the forwards Id expect.
Cld be solid at 13

Dont wanna buy any more old guys who are past their best buy date
Bird.Klemmer.Bateman are just not worth investing in

I knew you would almost certainly disagree, just trying to set the right tone for our first game of the season in round 2 at Leichhardt Oval against who. 🤔

It appears Bird came to WT for a pension payout, not to work his ass off and do what it takes for the team to win...Benji can't be bothered with the types of Bird, Klemmer and Bateman...

The Dragqueens who are very short of props didn't see enough in Klemmer to give him another season.
Payton is stuck with Bateman and regretting signing him....we are stuck with Bird cause no one else wants him....

Never liked the signing from the start for mine we needed bigger forwards and he didn't fill the role, had no impact at all and gave away some dumb penalties as well.

Still on the nose is sus, no idea what's going on.

I hope you realise our recent boardroom dramas has a real effect on our ability to negotiate with players.

I don’t know why other than a quote stating he was free to leave if he can find on other club.
I have heard that Bird is a bit of a joker when it comes to training which could be classed as a distraction for some of the other players.

Its another 2-3 year setback. at minimum .maybe more if our guns walk away
These fools dont give a rats about the teams short/medium term prospects or performance..theyre just waiting out PVL to go and hopefully restore the Magpies brand
So small minded and self centred
They contribute atm about 10 % of total club revenue,and if the new CEO runs he club well we cld live without them ..and wld rather do so
Theyve served their purpose when we needed them and are now an anchor

It shouldn’t if those seeking an NRL opportunity.
Why would any player in their right mind rather play predominantly NSW Cup or very limited NRL minutes rather than have a direct pathway to consistent NRL game time in their position ?
