How did this theory work out with Galvin ?
Also , Dragons can sign him now. So who’s to say he waits for us ?

Bula doesn't have to start in career best form to garner interest from elsewhere he already has it - factors in play - money and career progression. Negotiations have stalled for a reason/s
He is not a single entity in this he has a manager who will be currently speaking to other clubs, and WTs as an option is never a top priority with managers - no need to elaborate.

We give plenty of players opportunity and in plenty of cases that's what gets them the ticket out of here.

let's be realistic, he's not going to move to St George. they're in the exact same spot as us realistically, arguably even behind. some elite forward prospects + Keaon going there makes them intriguing, but I don't think their premiership window opens for another 3-4 years. Canterbury is the worry. always has been.

this won't be resolved for a few months yet. Isaac will be sitting back waiting to see how HBG-gate affects the playing group. if it results in poor performances then he's as good as gone.

the roster is pretty much settled. of those off contract (Bula, Bird, Craig, Sione, Geyer, Hope, the Laulili'i's, Mason, Saukuru, Skelton, Sukkar), the only one you'd deem as a priority beyond Jahream is Sione and arguably Skelton.

everyone else is a wait and see proposition, or already has one foot out the door.

Luai is technically off contract but I wouldn't be worried about that. I don't think anyone's going to pay him $1.2m and he's fiercely loyal to Benji.

Mosses wants a new deal so he gets paid as well , at present he earns zero from Bulla , now a new deal with is doesn’t mean we can lower the value , Mosses will be out for a new deal most likely 3 years plus this year so 4 years and max dollars probably $ 850 k , Dragons would pay overs and dogs will probably be around $ 700 and a Gus overload about the player ( best up and coming fullback in 20 years ) that type Galvin shit , mosses probably happy to loose $ 150 k worth of contract just to shove one up us again , This deal needs to be done prior to season trials or it could be another derailed year unless Benji gets some balls and drops him if needed ( poor form ) he could suffer under the contract pressure

Yep, that's what I was getting at Jolls and it may not be that massive a change, 7 to 13. He may be training at what appears to be 7 and not at 13, but a hybrid position as you mention might not be entirely different. Latu is too good not to start.

But, isn't Latu out injured till well into comp.

True, but players such as Cooper Cronk have spent a couple of years as a utility before establishing themselves in a starting position.
Including Jock Madden we have 4 players all capable of being good standard NRL halves, very healthy competition.

Yeah Madden is capable of being a ‘good’ NRL half…
That’s why he came back here to play 4th string at a low level club like the Tigers.
While other teams are trying to to turn fullbacks into 7’s…

If we are playing well, sitting in the top 8 and Bula is contributing well after 10 rounds, it will be highly likely he re-signs with us.
If we are sitting near last after 10 rounds and he is not showing any signs of improvement, he would then probably be looking elsewhere and he would probably not be worth a big money contract to us if this is the case.
