Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It's such a boring repetitive tactic now as if everyone can't see through it, is Isack starting to run out of ideas.
Yep, and It’s always a club he’s got heavy ties to, either through the coach (Flanno, Seibold etc) or major player client (M. Moses).

Even the Galvin situation, everyone including the media were convinced he was going to the Eels and even IM told the Eels he was going there until Galvin and his dad spoke to Vela and Gould. IM wasn’t happy about that one!

it’s settled mostly for 2026…not 2027 though in respect of some new blood being added
I'd be surprised if there's any movement for 26. extremely surprised.

definitely need to go out and find some talent for 27, particularly at hooker and in the outside backs for depth, but even then I don't think there'll be too many changes to the 17 we see rolled out from R1 onwards.

we all want that marquee middle forward to partner Terrell, but I'm not entirely sure they exist.

If we are playing well, sitting in the top 8 and Bula is contributing well after 10 rounds, it will be highly likely he re-signs with us.
If we are sitting near last after 10 rounds and he is not showing any signs of improvement, he would then probably be looking elsewhere and he would probably not be worth a big money contract to us if this is the case.
Again you’re forgetting he can sign anywhere right now. Why would he wait around for us to decide in 10 rounds if Dragons and Dogs are chasing him now ?

Yeah Madden is capable of being a ‘good’ NRL half…
That’s why he came back here to play 4th string at a low level club like the Tigers.
While other teams are trying to to turn fullbacks into 7’s…
How many 4th string halves at other clubs are as good or better than him ?
He is no superstar, but as good as you can get for a 4th string halve.
I’m guessing he chose to come back to Wests Tigers backing himself to win a regular NRL spot if he plays his best on a consistent basis.
I think it’s highly unlikely he will play well enough to be our starting 7, but he could be an option off the bench as a halves or hooker option, particularly if one of our other 3 halves are out injured.

It’s also leaked now when they are all away at camp with no phones and communication lol

But why have we purchased a promising young fullback from Penrith ????
because that's what good clubs do and should do. stack the development squad, second tier and pathways with prodigious talents and deal with giving them all gametime when the issue arises.

Attard is a wonderful talent but there's a reason why he's top 30 in 2028. he's got a way to go. the Bula situation realistically shouldn't affect him until that time.

Because it’s very unlikely any club will pay him 1 million per season right now.
If he blitzes the first 10 rounds I assume he would get 1 million dollar season contact offers without a problem.
It’s in his own best interests to wait if he backs himself to reach consistent career best form.

I think he was a handy buy - plenty of FG experience. Holds his own. Agree V.

You keep speculating this 1 million dollar number 🤣 nothing suggests Bula wants that or even close to it.

Worst of all, the speculation is that Sheen steered him in that direction.

Talk about sabotage from within, HBG themselves could not of done any better. 😡

It honestly shocks me how seriously some fans will take a players word when it’s something they want to hear. ‘Bula has said he wants to stay so I’m confident’ yea ok mate, let’s pretend it’s not the most obvious PR trained answer to journos lol

How long ago was it when Galvin was going on every sports show & saying he’d see his contract out? Or what about Stefano a month before signing for storm saying he was going to extend because he wanted to be captain & win a GF for Tigers 🤣

All I’m saying don’t take anything these players say to media serious when it comes to contracts…
Tell them what they wanna hear

I'm stinging for more tackle busts from a new solid outside back more so than a middle forward this year I thought our forwards did OK last year. We didn't get much on the back of Staines, Naden and yea, AD, in either direction. It was pretty miserable at times watching our spine running out of ideas and steam.
