Quick, let me know when Birdy is ready to leave I will help him pack and drive him personally to the airport.

Yeah I know what you're thinking, what a guy 😁.

Yep we will pay overs for sure now specially after decembers shit show , probably added $ 100 k per year , well done HBG , if the dollars mentions in another post at near a million it’s overs
It was interesting at the CEO's forum where a very vocal section of the audience were imploring Shaun to to give the "next NRL Superstar" whatever he wants to stay a Tiger. The implication was that paying overs will save us as we can't afford another Tedesco.

Not sold on the angst or the player to be honest. Bula is good but he isn't a superstar yet and we should negotiate and appropriate deal based on what his we think his value is to us. This should include a realistic assessment of his increase in value over time. We can't afford to bend the cap out of shape for a maybe - if he wants more than we think he is worth to us, and others are willing to pay it, we let him walk.

Should we be making him an offer - hell yes - but lets be congniscant of the effect stupidity will have on our cap.

Agree mate , where do you think his price tag is , I’m in at say $ 750 with jumps each year as most contracts have now , cap goes up his wage goes up based on cap jumps but also would need a few protections for the club , or $ 800 year x 4 with extras / Bonus based on achievements , eg - Games played - State of origin - man of the match awards -

I'm in that ballpark $750/800 with ratchet clauses tied to performance. Put the onus back on him to earn the big bucks tied to his growth.
