Forward Pack Discussion

8 May
9 API
10 Twal
11 Samuela
12 Kai
13 Sione
14 Latu*
15 Hunt
16 Pole
17 Bunty

I see Sione and Pole as more locks and also have the ability to play around the forward pack

Twal and May are big minute props

Hunt and Bunty for impact props, too good for reserve grade as long as the pick up the slack

*When Latu is well I see him starting at 14 until he gets comfortable. Not sure who is going to be our round 2 utility.

I don't view in giving in Twal a extension, he has had alot of head knocks past couple of years, I think he will be medically retired next year when his contract runs out.

Seyfarth and Sukkar should never be called up in 2026 unless we lose ALL of our forward pack.
I reckon you've nailed the pack. This is how it should look every week if everyone's fit

Seyfarth is not a better player than anyone in that team. Problem is, he's an excellent trainer and fools coaches into thinking he should start games. Benji seems to love him unfortunately

I respect your opinion and you make some very valid points.
Can I just point out if we had those 3 bench middles in Hunt, Pole and Bunty all on the field at the same time it’s very likely our defensive line speed and defence in general would be very vulnerable.
All 3 are very good when we are in ball possession, but I think we sometimes forget about the defensive side of the game.
I think all supporters and Benji included would like players such as Seyfarth to be a bit more impactful when we have the ball, but he is generally more impactful as a bench middle than what he is as a starting edge.
He is usually an energetic and reliable defender and for these reasons I understand why Benji values him.
