Matamua is doing what Faagutu did twelve months ago - he’s trialing at the Dogs in an attempt to save his career.

From what I understand, he wasn’t wanted here.
It’s got nothing to do with money.

He’s on a NSW Cup contract, so money has nothing tn do with the reason he’s no longer with us.
I’ve stated before that I don’t believe we handled his development well at all and I hope he does well at the Bulldogs, but as I’ve also stated before, players control their own destiny and if playing well enough the contracts follow.

Conti is my brother n laws nephew. I thought he was training at hooker, will be watching the dogs trial closely, hope he goes well even though he's not a tiger anymore.

Oh nice mate, Interesting re hooker. Has formed a nice partnership with Woods through their grades in the halves. Keen to see him trial too
