Do we know Mak can’t play right side? Just looks an athlete to me, has to be in FG in the near future.

To me Mak seemed to have good combinations formed with the players around him.

I def don't see him as a left side Center.
He seems a scorer and less of a Defender. Would be good to pair him with Turuva till he gets NRL defensive fitness.

Makasini seems an absolute gun in a Trial match. Hope he still seems that way throughout the year.

You're right. He went to Brisbane only. I don't know why I had it in my head he had a stint at Penrith.

Kid is well poised, thinks smart, and best of all knows how to use his elbows in attack for a tall fella

Talk of Jock playing a significant role in first grade is way over the top. Yes, it was a good organising/kicking game from him against a Roosters team without any key players in and a handful of good rookies from last year. He was not targeted or pressured like he will be in a NRL game. Doobie is first choice and Latu has a sky high ceiling. There is a reason he hasn't played barely any first grade and is close to journeyman status. Was ordinary for us in his first stint here and couldn't crack first grade last year at the Broncos. Hopefully won't be anywhere near first grade. But a sound third string, like Hope at hooker. Mason would be a good utility in my old Group 3 club Camden Haven Eagles.

He’s a good back up and speaks to the depth that’s been built in our squad over the last season.

He had some good games with Brisbane as a backup. Shows the club is in a good position with AD, Latu then Jock.

Jock does have something we are missing which is an organiser. We never plan our 5th tackle options and today we actually did for the most part.

With Luai, Andrews, Latu, AD the reality is they are all 6s. The latter 2 we are trying to mould into 7s but if it doesn’t work it’s good to have Madden there.

Loved our depth in attack.
Players backing up, playing for each other.

Potentially but I don’t see Makasini playing on that side. Imagine a situation where May and Makasini could swap in attack. I guess in that sense Mak could play wing and just attack in centre from time to time.

To'a is a liability. Makasini or May could move to the right. Makasini has played alot of Rugby Union at outside centre. They change side constantly depending on where the ball is situated so I don't think it is a massive stretch for him to move

Murray is a must for us. All effort, we need him as backup or bench

He's handy that he can cover Api for 10-15 minutes as well

I agree, while he is young and will continue to polish his attack, he still had 9 runs In his 1st half stint, which is solid

Didn’t see any other forward doing that while doing his defensive efforts
